Beat the Crowd Day
The Jets return to Henson Park Saturday, 23 June, in another face-off with the 2006 premiers Parramatta.
The Newtown club has designated next Saturday as ''Beat the Crowd Day''.
We're calling on all Newtown supporters and friends to help set a new crowd record for Henson Park and beat the crowd of 8972 set when the Jets last played there as a NSWRL first grade entity in 1983.
Special features for the day include
two for one adult's gate entry
free entry for all Roosters and Eels NRL season ticket holders
special attractions for children
a cash raffle prize
they should win becuase i believe wipey is in melbourne. they've only won at home this year when he hasn't turned up.
They lost again. But beat the crowd by 1 (big surprise there).
Anyway, deferred Bulldogs game is on tonight. Kick-off 7pm.
hmm! if it wasn't so freezing, i'd go tonight.
they should make it a bonfire night
hmmm, Jets game then on to the Rose for Bernie? It could be done....
a bonfire would be good. and a few burning couches.
hmmmm
i miss drunken times at henson park.
anyone go....... score ???
fuckity fuck, lost by 2 again. something like 28-26.
Back at Henson this weekend !
Matty Galvins birthday too !
Back at Henson again this Saturday arvo against the equally lowly Auckland Lions. Jets streak since Bulldogs games has been LLLLL and now in second last position. Oh dear.
Any of you Newtown Jets fans seen ''The Final Winter'', the rugby league film set at the Newtown Jets circa '81?
paging: looch
bring back soward and lewis.
bring back Frank Hyde!
