hiponion  said about 5 years ago:

HEY CUNTS!

can someone with an ebay account that's registered for paypal bid on/win this for me, and i send them the money? i NEED it.

Zidane Jersey

nishiki  said about 5 years ago:

no credit card?

hiponion  said about 5 years ago:

i would be heavily in debt if i had one. hence, i do not.

freaksandgeeks  said about 5 years ago:

bit pricey, how soon could you put the money in the bank?

I won most of my plants btw

Mrmusic  said about 5 years ago:

That seller has a few too many negatives - "Item never sent, no response to emails" for my liking.
18 negatives and 12 neutral for 1449 positives in a year is a worry.

hiponion  said about 5 years ago:

Hmm, I wonder if I can find another seller with a Zidane away jersey, like in the WC final

hiponion  said about 5 years ago:

that seller seems to be the only one.

hello, i need some ebay help......

my housemates friend recently put something on ebay. they listed the buy it now price at $4000 and misunderstood the opening bid price details and listed it at $400.

the item had one bid on it at close of auction for $400.

the seller sent an email saying she had misunderstood the auction opening price bid and was not going to sell the item at that amount. no money was exchanged.

the buyer is now threatening to take her to court.....

i tried reading up on this, but got confused.

does the ebay user agreement hold her liable for selling the item to him at this price ?

thanks.

michael_horse  said about 5 years ago:

something that occurred to me, pops, is that if it only sold for $400, perhaps it's only worth $400

poprocks96  said about 5 years ago:

nah, it has been valued at $7k

Boo.

Too busy to read this thread.

I have quickly skimmed through it and noted these recurring key words- "KevinArnold' "used sex toys" "Ebay" "2nd hand" "poor Kevin".

BWAHAHAHAHA!

""hi xxxxxx,

we moved house yesterday and I had a box of ebay items placed aside which contained the item you
have won. I have just gone to find it and package it up for you and have been told this box was placed in the rubbish this morning and of course the rubbish was collected an hour ago.

I am sorry to inconvenience you with this purchase but please do not pay me as I am unable to send the item to you.

thank you,
xxxxx""

Well that was fucking useful..!!

michael_horse  said about 5 years ago:

cunt

tell them to go get it from the dump

frigid star  said about 5 years ago:

I'm tempted.. or at least to ask which council they're in and I'll go and search for this free box of ebay goodies.

freaksandgeeks  said about 5 years ago:

thats happened to me before, i've won linen that has been lost-makes you wonder how much crap some people hoard.

frigid star  said about 5 years ago:

Well this was only a cassette, but how does one misplace linen?? Don't people who actively purchase such items usually have cupboards for these things?

freaksandgeeks  said about 5 years ago:

well they had alot of vintage table clothes and such. I assume there must've been boxes and boxes

frigid star  said about 5 years ago:

Ahh I see.. actually that may have been a random relative of mine, they tend to collect table cloths and novelty teaspoons..

freaksandgeeks  said about 5 years ago:

i sew and stuff like that ( see sewing thread) so I have lots of stuff! Most of it is hidden under the bed.

Advice please….

Say you bought a guitar thru ebay (a bargain too!). And after paying for it via Paypal (inc. delivery costs) the seller responded with a message saying “I was selling the guitar for my mate. Call _ on 0408 * * and he’ll be happy to organise delivery for you”. I’m in Sydney, he’s in Tassie… Then, after a billion phone calls, lies, excuses etc you receive a call from Aust Post saying that the sender has lodged a complaint with them for non-delivery of a package… and you find out that even though you’d paid for registered post/insurance the idiot had sent it plain old normal non-traceable parcel post.

Obviously I’ve been in contact with the actual person that I paid the money to (ie the ebay a/c holder) and he’s now asked me to give him until next Tuesday to try and ‘find’ the guitar, and if not he’ll pay me the money back. Ok…..

What are my options if next week comes and goes without my guitar being ‘found’ or my money being refunded? Isn’t it against ebay policy to allow another person to use your account?

Just for the record, the account holder has a good feedback rating and seems to run a business buying and selling on ebay. I can tell that he’s shitting himself as he knows that I’m on the verge of reporting him. If I don’t get my guitar/cash back next and do report him what happens then? Do I put a hit out on him?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Amazingly I got my money back after going thru the above drama. I'd rather have the guitar, but the cash is better than nothing. It's still a fucked up situation and wasted a whole bunch of my time (and patience etc).

maps  said about 5 years ago:

shit, i didn't write all of that... was just trying to quote my original post.

freaksandgeeks  said about 5 years ago:

glad you got your money back though.

maps  said about 5 years ago:

indeed. i wasn't expecting it after all of the BS. the seller also gave me back an extra $30 to cover phone calls etc. maybe that's why i've held off the ultra-negative feedback that i had planned......

questionmark  said about 5 years ago:

What part of the concept "Local Pickup Only" do people not understand? I just sold an amp to a dude who is at the gold coast, sent him his invoice and told him where I lived and how to get there. A few hours later he sends me an invoice request for postage to the gold coast. THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE DEAL YOU CANNOT POST IT IT IS TOO BIG AND I AM NOT DICKING AROUND WITH COURIERS AND PACKAGING I WORK FOR A LIVING

maps  said about 5 years ago:

get him to arrange the courier

maps  said about 5 years ago:

i agree that people are stupid though.

Godzilla  said about 5 years ago:

even if he arranges the courier, the courier will expect some packaging.

maps  said about 5 years ago:

wrap it in toilet paper and sticky tape.

he won't ignore "local pickup only again"

PsychedelicSounds  said about 4 years ago:

my account had been locked some how.

was on there yesterday, signed off and five minutes later i couldnt log back on.

i know my username and password are right.

i got my username verified again, so 100 percent sure of that and then when i tried to change my password it said i got my security questions wrong.

now i might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but i know my mother's name and my own birthday.

anyone have something similar happen to them?
