holy crap, crocs gumboots!

holy crap, crocs gumboots!

tears of laughter
are you researching them?!
they are the ugliest things in the world, what are you doing?!
davey - I am throwing out a whole bunch of shoes too. It's great.
![]()
not throwing out though right kuro..?!
we need to get planning by the way. i'll email you.
Crocs are atrocious!
oh, well - throwing out for a small price at the markets, yes.
I mean, is there anything that screams "Northern Suburbs middle-class intelligentsia lesbian single-mum" louder?
and don't forget those special after 5 occasions!

Hahahahaha. Vomit. Hahahahaha. Vomit. Hahahahahaha.
crocs and boat shoes, its like, brilliant!
and soon to be offering mary jane styled models, everyone will be happy!

(im so getting bashed)
hate to say it, but these don't look so bad.....

they arn't these though

oh lord, Gold Coast!
hmm, maybe this version

travesties.
thank god for the brief respite that socks gave me with those two tigers. the rest of this thread hurts my soul. urs too.
u folks get to the sorta lame sneaker show at the NGV? theres a couple of decent ones there...
C'mon... the Melissa shoes are beautiful.
so smooz, so grossy.
my favourite shoes ever ever EVAR are black puma speedcats with calfskin leather and a gold logo. HOTT. and so hard to find now :(
i also like the original mexico 66 tigers. And the japanese versions of adidas Boots that i want to buy and hacksaw the studs off of.
i just bought these pretties on the weekend, for work:

i have blisters, but i think they'll be fine soon.
" />
corduroy is the shit
I have these ones
they are my most comfortable sneakers ever! Apart from the obvious of course...

oh... and anonymous - you suck!! My mum and dad have both fallen in love with the croc (for wearing up at the holiday house where no-one can see) - I HATE them but can't help admitting how comfortable and practical they are when you're jumping in and out of boats and stuff up at the house.
whoops - first image didn't work:

My parents openly wear crocs. even in the winter, to the pub. i am not amused.
i saw a place with tiny kids crocs. personally, i think making your child wear them is child abuse.
everyones going to be seduced by the croc eventually.
YOU CAN'T RESIST!
arrrghhhh!
just got a call from my mum - she's bought me a pair of crocs and left them up at the house so that I can use them when I'm up there this weekend...
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!
I love red shoes the best. I have red asics, red maryjanes, red ballet flats, red pointy heels, red round-toed heels, and red Chloe rip-offs with bows. All I need now are red boots and red crocs and my collection will be complete!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
just call me anondamus
i will never wear crocs! NEVER!
imaginary - you sound like me - at one point I had nine pairs of red shoes. now it's down to about 5 or six pairs - I love them though!!
I only like round toed shoes. I think pointy shoes make my feet look like clown feet.
heels that aren't too high too...
ones with intact soles and unbroken straps which are also climate appropriate of which i own ZERO PAIRS and i'm in HORRIBLE ICKY PAIN.
it's self perpetuating horror. walking to the kmart is going to be a world of crap so i'm just hobbling round ing the same piece of shit shoes vaguely hoping a new pair sees fit to fall in my lap. i'm thinking dunlop volleys. are they expensive these days? i hope not.
they're like $28 TR

plastic shoes have to be the most uncomfortable thing ever
since i lost some weight my feet have shrunk from a 8 to 7.5. Half sizes are hard to find
i like that price! cheers, redlips!
if anyone sees a cripple hobbling down city road round lunchtime be sure to point and laugh.
Hmm...in the back of my wardrobe is a pair of black pumas with gold logo.
what's people's experience buying shoes online? I'd like to get some funky boots for winter as my current ones are falling apart.
i bought retro boots online... they go alright but heels were too high... thought i could deal with them but i really couldn't. They fit well but I have skinny legs. I bought these cherry wedges once... too big. Forgot to get them slightly smaller because of the kind of shoe it was. Bought mary janes... slightly too small but wearable. All from the same website... different brands of shoes though.
Boots are hard to get online I think. You have to put them on and see if they fit your calves properly or not. What if they're uncomfortable? I'm a bit comfort factor girl...
TransientRandom: I bought a pair of Volleys the other day for $24. That's right, $24. Target are having a teensy little sale on them at the moment, I suspect. They're alright, but one side is seriously cramping my (little toe's) style.
Wait a minute, that has nothing to do with style - seriously cramping my little toe.
Oh shoes.... How I love thee! Converse fast breaks, Vans off the walls, slip ons & chukkas, hi top shellies, Jordan 7s, Airwalk 540s, Vision Vs, Puma Baskets, shiiii...
Crocs and Plastic shoes get dirty easily!!
And eww plastic shoes!!! I know there cheaper but u have to think of fashion!
since i lost some weight my feet have shrunk from a 8 to 7.5. Half sizes are hard to find
half sizes refer really to the width. go for a broader 7, or a narrow 8 and you'll be ok freaks.
balenciaga 5" gldiator sandals.
that crocs store down the road is almost open.
might take my camera and have a look when it is.
my hut booties are sooo back in fashion.. and oh my god. i invented this thing earlier int he year called 'two sock' and saw a double page spread on it in NW this week, (yes i know i'm lame i read NW)
i broke my cons in melbourne. fuck paying $80 for another pair. i think i'm going to switch to dunlop volleys.
no don't, i dated a dunlop.. don't give anyone with that name your money

These shoes rock for me...
I'm sure you can get cons for less than 80!! i've been wanting to go shoe shopping since being dragged to DFO for work shoes. There is a cons and sketchers factory outlet store there. I'm sure there was a place where they were selling nice dr. martins Too!
If you're in Melbs, go to the cons store at the top of smith st. I got my shoes there for years. Now I live just off there, I never shop there.
sister and I went shopping for shoes on friday night, we walked into a shop, within 5 minutes i had found the ones i liked, tried em on, bought em, went to the pub
now i can wear skirts to work again
cHow does one break a pair of cons? I thought the whole point of cons is to get them looking as crap as possible?
sometimes they just fall apart and can no longer even be referred to as shoes.
i found nrver-been-worn fuck-off-red heels in exactly my size second hand yesterday. they are amazing:
I am happy to say i own only 2 pairs of high heels and have only wore one pair of them once. fucking ankle killing uncomfortable horrible evil things they are.
heels are one of my fetish objects, i have a stupid collection of ridiculously high heels that i rarely wear cos of my back :(
i tore most of the soul oiff when i got it snagged on a couch where i was staying.
melbourne stole his soul
High heels are great if you know how to walk in them!
And for those slightly more cashed up than I am, Miss Louise is having a sale this week.
one of my friends once said my greatest talent was the ability to walk in stupidly high heels while stupidly drunk
however i'm pretty sure i fell over in my boots on friday night. talent gone :(
I want These... NOW.
currently hunting tigers too...
my friends say the same thing about me, littlerach!
i picked up a pair of Chuck Taylors for $40 at General Pants Co. a couple months ago. I think Glue were selling them cheap too. So it's definitely possible to buy 'em cheap. The Cons factory isn't much cheaper than RRP most of the time though. Take a look, but the original style Chucks are normally $70-75...
somebody buy me these:

or maybe these:

i can't decide. maybe just buy me both
I only have three pairs of shoes that I wear - my hi tops, black ballet flats and bronze-coloured flats. I can't walk that well in high heels.
i haven't been home in over a week and all i've got is boots or thongs, had to resort to socks and thongs the other day sad day.. such a good look
yeah, i don't do high heels. In fact, I don't do anything apart from runners. I have Chuck Taylors high tops, and Globe Appleyards. As well as a pair of Oakleys and Dr. Martens for work purposes.
I like comfortable runners.
Yay mooey!! The awesomeness of the sneaker can rarely be beated. I'm getting a list of shoes for my mum to buy whilst she's overseas. She's a total Emelda Marcos when it comes to shoes!
Does anyone know where I can get hipster pointy shoes?
Dunno chixxx. Hipster pointy shoes have been on the out 4 a bit now yeah?
no way rosie! i'm trying to reinstate the thongs and socks look into the fashion lexicon. best combo ever. so comfortable, and with my plastic $2 target slip on thong thingies, most attractive.
Shunt, get the ones without the holes, way classier
actually, fuck it but both
buy - not but
there are marijuana leaves on the bottom of those shoes.
they do bear a slight resemblance to the stoner footwear du jour c.1990s, rollers desert boots.
the leaves made me think of all that really bad hemp clothing that american Phish fans wore while I was travelling
desert boots however were the shit.
TR: I noticed the dope leaves there. Maybe I'm too much of a stoner. I just notice these things.
LiR: yayz for sneakers! I'm glad there are other people with me on this. There are so many sneakers that I want, but cannot at all justify buying cos of my income. Lucky you though, with yo mum taking a list away with her hehe. I'm sure that'lll be fun!!
is it wrong to lust over a $350 dollar pair of new balance sneakers?
Dunlopz rulez.
Ahahaha i noticed those marijuana leaves too! At first i thought i was seeing things and i was- marijuana leaves. Shunt go 4 the second pair. gloom i'm so broke atm the only good thing is mum buying new shoes. I feel 8 years old again.
It's fun when yr mum buys you nice things. It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Especially when it's unexpected.
numbernone: nuffin' wrong with lusting over expensive shoes. Especially if you're too poor to buy them. That's when lusting is the only thing you can do, apart from steal.
looks shifty
I own those shoes in the white (perforated), shunt. My girlfriend got them for my birthday last year.
yes they're marijuana leaves. i think they may have poached the idea from the old van's slip on print.
My husband got himself some glow in the dark Nike Hightops...yes they are nike, yes we did meet 6 years ago protesting against nike but now we know that most brands use slave labour, and ehhh what u gonna do...they glow in the frigg'n dark people!
yes please. size 13. preferably fuckin cheap like the budgie

GLOW IN THE DARK SHOES????
holy cow, my life has new meaning...
..ok, not really, but damn, that's wicked!
That's totally awesome fashion hayley!! Taking those out to raves would be spectacular!!! all those little shufflers would be ultimately jealous.
actually i don't think i could do that to a good pair of shoes - i would cry when they would fall apart.
i'm leaning to the ones with dots. not too keen on the pot leaves but they're pretty funny i guess. in every other way they're like the perfect shoe!
hey spaceman do you know where yr girlfriend bought em?? i've been looking for schmoove shoes in melbs ever since i bought a pair in paris two years ago. i actually saw some at a store in geelong (?!?!?!) once but it was shut and i never been back
I recently bought a pair of ludicrous patent black studded Prada platforms. they look awesome, but they are somewhat impractical. plus I'm about 6 ft tall in them, so they're not exactly the most inconspicuous of shoes either.
mary jane flats, t-bars, and any other type of childrens, possibly turn of the century style shoe will always be the cutest and awesomest.
LiR: i get attached to good shoes like that. I get so sad when they fall apart, especially if they've given me years of good service. I love my sneakers.
I bought these a few weeks ago, so comfy:

Is there a Clarks outlet in Melbourne? I wanna buy a pair of desert boots.
I've been trying to find an alternative to Cons for a long time now. Finally found something I liked on ebay last night, nicely shaped leather shoes with a buckle (sounds crap I know, but cool) and someoneone beat me in the auction. Dammit. Now i'm gonna have to wait another 2 years to find something I like... coz the chances of finding another pair of those is minimal.
Ubu - I saw an ad for desert boots in one of the local papers.... gimme a sec....
i want some of these:
I think Watt’s Corner Shoe Store on Lygon st has desert boots (I think Goldfoot was searching for some too). 264 Lygon St Carlton ph: 9663 2805
Im digging thoses glow in the dark nikes.......

i done got these in merika
Adidas have a nice pair of hi-tops made with Saville Row pinstripe fabric.
Is that a shoe that ate another shoe, horse?
Thanks nekky!
yep!
two tongues, two sides, two sets of laces
shame the soles aren't double thick, just for the hell of it
Sometimes you get cold feet in cons during winter, double thickness would be good
i saw them yesterday at northland horsie, the army ones - high top!
mm...my feet get cold in Cons in winter. Ooh, those ones look like they wouldn't be terrible in the rain either.
orly ?
how much ?
bracksy wanted that exact pair, but they didn't have them at shoe mania
um i didn't check the price, i just saw them and thought "oooh i like that green!" and then realised they had the camo on them too. i think maybe $90 or $100? they were in sportspower or sportscene or whatevz its called.
i want another pair of gazelles. that aren't in shitty colours.
ubu, if you know your size, buy them over the internet. they'll probably be cheaper too. I stocked up on clark's when I was in england (wallabees and desert boots) and they turned out to be about half the price they are here.
*no way rosie! i'm trying to reinstate the thongs and socks look into the fashion lexicon. *
ha, i've been pushing a look called two sock was proud to see a 2 page spread of it in NW the other week..
I sent my dad on a camper finding mission in Barcelona... I gave him:
* catalogue numbers in prefence order
* colours
* descriptions in dad language - e.g. a dark brown flat shoe with a single strap across the top of the foot - aka. a "mary-jane" shoe
* addresses of stores that had the shoes in stock (according to the website)
* google maps directions of how to get from the hotel to the stores
I've just got an sms from him that said "Shoes.Done.Tick.love Dad" - I'm so very very proud! I wonder which of the 4 styles (and which colour) he bought.
bursts with excitement!
Nice one redlips! Your dad is rad!
Man. My feet were so cold this weekend in my Cons. So yesterday I decided to wear 2 pairs of socks. Still cold. Goddammit! I wonder if thick-ass socks will fix it, otherwise I might just have to stick to my trusty (and awesome) Globes.
it's not the thickness of the socks moo - it's what they're made of - invest in a couple of pairs of good quality fine woollen socks and then you can get way more warmth without cutting off your circulation
i just bought a pair of these one size too small cause i loved them too much and they didn't have em in my size. i'm an idiot aren't i

yes
yep
yeah, thought so. thanks guys

yep shunt. your little toes on each foot are going to be crushed till they bleed and peel. true story.
i'm feeling sad - the pair of boots i put on layby well before winter are still not yet paid off... not even close! and my feet are freezing... i only own three pairs of shoes, all being really inappropriate for winter.
damn feet
I was wearing my Blunnies the other day and i made up an awesome parody song.
"Like a blundstone cowboy, getting cards and letters from people I don't even know.. "
it needs some work, I think i'll send it to that dingus that did "I'm a bloke, I'm a yobbo and my best mates name it Robbo"
awwhh, but the girl at the shop with big cleavage said they'd stretch :( :( :(
sucker
you NEVER believe them when they say that, shunt
if they are leather, stuff them with some wet newspaper before you wear them to stretch them the most you can.
hrrrmph. if you can't trust someone with big cleavage who CAN you trust??
How much were they shunt? I want a new pair of black sneakers. I was thinking of getting Vans but I'm not sure.
i don't want to post that i paid 120 something dollars for a pair of converse on mess and noise because certain types round here will laugh. i also don't wanna mention that i bought them from general pants co. i'm also reluctant to tell you that they have a sale on canvas converse sneakers at the moment, round 40 bucks or something i think... i love the black pinstripe ones that are around at the moment too
also mess and noise you'll be relieved to know that i've been wearing my one size too small shoes all day and they're just fine so far. just a little more claustrophobic than usual... no cramping or anything. yet
that's good shunt. i'm sure your feet are relieved so far.
meh, I bought my all stars at General Pants Co cuz they were cheap. I also like the pinstripe ones, but can't allow myself to buy them cos I just bought a pair of Dickies all star rip offs for $20 (cheap as). So if I bought another pair, in effect, I'd have 3 pairs of all stars. That would be stupid of me.
oh lord won't you buy me:
http://balenciaga.com/#Id=/Collection/Women/Accessories/Shoes
After having a little pool because the boots i wanted were not avail in my size... I just realised my sis might be able to buy them go benders and bring them when she comes to visit! Yay!
40 mulah cons eh? Think i may need to go for a wander during lunch 2mrw. My babies are getting a bit holey...
wish i could see the images on this thread.
getting me a pair of these this winter i think.

they look like clompy fun.
John Fluevog is nice!
Mine are a non-tall version of this:

all studded and yummy. Here's a non-studded, less swirly version of about the height I'm talking:

er, these!

Classic Filterfeed... Classic...
i'm thinking those boots in 12 ups would be pretty hot raven!
all this shoe talk is making my card holder itch. Spend spend spend spend!

Ooh i got the winter boots i wanted. Yay! My sir bought them at her myer before visiting. Took them to their first party last night. They were a hit!
all i need is new sneakers/street shoes
pics! pics!
has anyone seen any runners with velcro lately?
Katuspotatus... If only i could find a pic of these boots... They are darn sweet.
i've seen runners with velcro lately... But i'm sorry i didn't have a closer look at brand.
These shoes still own my heart. If only I could own theirs.

These are pretty cool, too, despite being Adidas:
And you'll find a lot of the Adicolor series are velcro-fastening.
Tell me you guys have been to the sneaker exhibition... It would be shameful not to go see it if your go melbs.
Ahh yes. I haven't made it yet. To be honest, I am pretty ambivalent about sneakers. Labour practices and mad object consumerism and all... but then some of them are pretty freaking awesome.
sneakers aren't shoes
Ok then. Go to the street shoe exhibition at the NGV! There are some really nice custom ones. :-)
ooh thanks socks!
landyinred - do you rememebr where you saw them?
It's the Dunlop socks custom Volley! You might see me around town in these.
I like those adidas ones
Katuspotatus: i'm sorry dear. Brain cannot recall. All i remember was that i was go the CBD. Try the shoe shops on swanston or the one on bourke st across from the big nike store. There was also one shoe store i can vaguely recall. On little collins between russell and swanston.
sorry i can't be much better at remembering. It was a very hazy weekend.
The other day I saw a girl wearing black K26s. I am now mentally ill from trying to work out where she got them from. I WANT, I WANT!
foxus, have you worn the shoes?
they're at imaginarylion's house! i am still yet to wear them!
i will though.
i bought two new pairs of shoes the other day. i will try to find photos to post here.
shoes are for shoesers. although some non leaking ones would rule.
these ones....

and these (but blue)

I want to get these. I've been wanting to get vinatge pair of boots like this, but can't seem to find any so I guess this will do (it's ben sherman)

thanks to a friend in america, got these campers:

They are campers???? They are gorgeous. I spent far too long in the camper store in Prague but sadly went and spent my money (drowned my sorrows) in an bar... without the boots I was drooling over.
yep, campers. shoe money wins out over booze money every time.
however, drowing sorrows in a prague bar is probably a damn fine way to do it - just hoping that it worked well for you!
well beer is prague is cheaper than water and I didn't have room for the boots in my bag anyway so it was a win/win situation.
I'm going to have those boots one day though....
hopefully the joy of international buying on ebay should help you out there - best of luck. camper have some amazing shoes - i have below the knee boots in red patent leather scored in london, and they're going to be sorely missed when they wear out.
these are my shoes.
and these are my other shoes!

Because when I bought them I didn't know this thread existed:

Crocs Shoes Design Competition
From the original pair of crocs, I have transformed it into something that's 'out of the norm', which was the theme for the competition.
Yep.
Wow! Someone made crocs even more fucking hideous- didn't think that was possible!
WOW those are disgusting!
look guys, they're just 'out of the norm'
My boots are better.
what size are your boots annehelena?
Imelda Marcos wins
Thread closed
Size 10, Aus. And still a bit pinchy for my big feet (curse of being tall) but they will soon stretch up nicely.

A few of my fave shoes. From left to right: Fake Chloe platforms from ebay USA bought for my wedding, Vintage black velvet pumps with diamond middle bow from a trip to NYC, Plastic white flats from Harajuku Tokyo, Silver man style oxfords again from Harajuku Tokyo, Last seasons must have very high brogues from Mollini Melbourne!
Ahh, my marc jacobs are back home for some silly reason and I miss them like crazy.
these were my favourite shoes for three months until they feel apart.
stupid vans.
I'd kill myself if I cared each season's must have.
*about
fell, not feel.
the silver lace up ones are very lovely fashionhayley, i'm quite jealous.
Yeah, I do like them too.
But they ain't gold lightening bolted boots.
Metallic shoes of any kind are the bestest.
I used to have silver shoes, but like all of mine, they fell apart from overwear.
BOOOOOO
The silver shoes were only $15! and same with the white plastic shoes :> In fact all my shoes were less than $50 except the shoes from Melbourne...New shoes in Australia are sooo $$$ compared to o/s. Why is that do you think?
FH- Assuming you are still in Japan, can you get Evisu and Red Monkey (not necessarily) stuff at a reasonable price over where you are?
I repeat -
tramdriver- I hadnt heard of those brands, but I did a search and Ive seen alot of kids in the evisu jeans with the M on the bum, and they have a store/stockist in Tokyo but yeah, not my style so not sure about prices. But the thing with Tokyo is some stuff is much cheaper then Australia, like designer brands and perfumes and shoes and cheap highstreet shops are cheaper but Topshop and Zara are double the price at their shops here, and with H&M opening next year I wouldnt be suprised if that ends up being more expensive then UK/USA. (The topshop store is in a department store, my husband taught the owner of it English, he said that if its too cheap no one will buy it, so he had to mark up the prices to make it seem desirable, he also told him about how he got the store, he was living in the UK and loved topman for its quality and prices and thought Japanese people will love that, so he went to the topshop people and made a presentation of how it would work and now its the only store outside UK apparently, and its not run by topshop, its run by him he just buys topshop stock)
that was very long sorry
Foxy, those are YOUR shoes? We've been wondering who they belonged to....
Am I a bad person for wanting a pair of crocs gumboots?
Anyone know where to find Clarks Desert Boots in Melbourne?
Gimme a sec...I saw some for sale recently, Ubu, and made a mental note. I'm also a fan.
I can't even find a Clarks stockist in Melbourne.
I think I saw some in the city- either that place near Russell & Bourke St, or maybe in the Galleria, on Elizabeth St.
My current pair are fucked, but I love them because I actually wore them in the desert, in Dubai.
i finally paid off my boots. and i live in them. love them. very happy. i hope they never wear out (and for the price i paid for them, i don't expect them to!)
Which boots were they, skip?
i need boots.
I have 4 pairs of DBs all from op shops- but if you go to any ye old school shoe shop they will be there (like Hicks in Footscray.) I doubt that Clarkes make them anymore- they are usually other brands and about $80.00 too these days. You can get Rollers from Sam Bear in Russell st tho.

footprints 'garda' boots. i highly recommend them, especially for people with troublesome feet (like mine. ugh)
I want moccasins
Wowowowowow...I'm leaving my hairdresser for a cobbler..

I have a good friend who is a cobbler. He also gets stopped in the street by people who think he is Jermane from Flight of the Conchords 'nuff said.
I dont have good enough socks for those shoes above.
Does anyone know if there is a Melbourne outlet for black suede ripple-sole (as in 'jaws boots'-style zig-zag ripples) desert boots? Years back I used to see them occasionally on people and when I asked they were all from the Mildura area. Was it just a regional thing, like a local manufacturer up there, or were they just more style-conscious? Is anyone on here from Mildura and can remember them (assuming, of course, that they're not still a current fashion up there)? Should I book the Sunraysialine bus now?
You're welcome!
:)
anyone seen this available?

They're Adidas Top Ten Low and I really want a pair.

I love Shoewawa.. and these shoes are cuuute.
i have about 40 pairs of shoes, is that too much for a boy? Iv always wondered
wedges, and I can't go past a pair of nice, black leather boots.
I am currently looking for a pair fo Victorian lace up boots with a kick of a heel. Ebay is my next stop.
OMG like welcome to the Cleo forums.
wedges, and I can't go past a pair of nice, black leather boots. I am currently looking for a pair fo Victorian lace up boots with a kick of a heel. Ebay is my next stop.
polywonder, go and check out quick brown fox's shoe collection at the moment
my awesome wedges gave me blisters on the soles of feet on the weekend

i just brought these. WOOT. thank god for friends going for UK holidays and being nice enough to pick them up for me.
I think I need these. I will turn into a bitter old woman without them. I don't know what I'd wear them with. I wonder if they're available in Australia. I think I will dream about these tonight.

where it with one of those god awful off-white stupid dresses and run through fields and shit
also some shoester let me know where i cna find good fake leather brown cowboy boots, spurs preferred
I want:

Somebody buy them for me
where it with one of those god awful off-white stupid dresses and run through fields and shit
Off-white's not my colour. Bad with my skin tone.

can anyone tell me where some good shoe shops are in melbourne? i can't find a single shoe i want to wear.
i got louboutins w silver heels and they dont fit!
and i want white docs also.
Why did you buy them if they don't fit?
I have too many pairs of too-tight shoes to make that mistake again.
If they don't fit in the shop, they're not gonna fit later on.
I own...
Saucony Jazz, New Balance 576 / 574 / 577, Vans Half Cabs, Eras, Authentics and Skate-Hi's (I want some skate mids too), Adidas ZX 700 (Want some ZX 600/800), Emerica Leo Romero, Nike Blazer (hi-top), plus shit loads more. I reckon it's around 50+ at the moment.
I like sneakers.
where can i find shoes in melb like this:

oh aren't they nice!
you should ask sister, she might know
they look a little qbf/leghorn esque?
these shoes rule - these shoes suck!
starts of a bit slow but wait for the song to kick in. funny.
these shoes:
also rule
sigh
shoe wanty
there are some lovely clodhoppers in QBF at the moment
there usually are.. i like their shoes much more than i like their clothes, most of the time.
reminds me, i have to gent an old pair fixed. this should be the thread to do ask...
Can anyone recommend a decent not-too-expensive shoe repair place in melbourne? i have to get some elastic bits re-sown in, some stitching redone, and some buttons reattached and maybe some re-soling (i have been hoarding my broken shoes for a while, now i have a pile to get done at once)
sigh one day I can afford you Marc Jacobs..

imaginarylion those shoes are just too cute!

What colour/s do I get?
I'm on the website now and there's no sizing guide.. bummer. Do i just wing it?
sharptooth, they are devine!
dont wing it.
Those shoes are absolutely gorgeous. What is the website?
whoops.
Ta! They are all so lovely.
Yes.. I love!
I've just emailed the shop to ask them about sizing.
It is a tad confusing. They seem to be junior sizes or some such.
Yes... luckily I have junior sized feet.
My feet are larger, so I think I'm shit out of luck.

The above shoes are from Wittner...I want each of them..and soooo many more

These are from midas...and are super expensive but I love them
I need some oxford flats. Midas do make lovely ones fh, how much are those ones?
they are $248....wayyyyyyyy too much
Those oxfords are nice, a bit too shiny though, patent leather always looks so cheap to me
!!!!
last time I went in they had some nice ones that were similar for $180. Should have grabbed them then.
![]()
get the blue ones with dots, and wear them around the house with ya jimjams :)

I thought an Australian 7 is a US 7 (it is in mens). UK sizes are half a size (or a full size ) bigger. No idea about European sizes, but in Japan, it all works on centimetres. Crazy.
Hey Molly, actually In Japan the most common set of sizes is S, M, L and occasionally you will find LL (I am an LL but it still hurts kinda). The centimetre thing is rare.
I'm ordering the 7.5 in purple.. wish me luck!
My favourite pair of red flats has carked it after three years.
sob
I'm searching ebay for a relacement pair, but I'm not finding anything suitable..
i just got these - they currently have gold stripes in them:

I have shoes close to these:

I bought new shoes. New volleys, the old ones didn't make it out of golden plains with their dignity intact.
Also bought some other pair of random cheap kmart shoes.
2 pairs, 45 bucks, why would you bother paying any more for foot covering type items?
ohh bthey are nice iLion. But I'd like 'em better if they weren't open toe.
i bought boots and mary janes the other day.
my name is de.foxus, and i am addicted to footwear.
i want some red velvet shoes with a low heel to wear to my wedding. i'm so clueless when it comes to buying shoes. who wants to take me shoe shopping??

these are my boots, but in black. i am so tempted to go search them out in red now.
maybe something like this..

ooh, they are pretty, pagey. i'm sure i've seen things like that around recently... zoe wittner may be a good starting point?
the wanting of a low heel could cause issues though, everything seems to be sky high or flat this season.
zoe wittner you say?
takes notes
it has to be low..i can't walk in heels much higher than that. i have five months to find something. eek!
means you've got 5 months to figure out how to walk in them!
hmm, if your heart is set on strappy, you may be better off starting out at outlet places... all the winter closed in shoes and boots are starting to hit the shelves and anything strappy is being delegated out.
they don't have to be strappy. it's more the colour/fabric i have my heart set on. closed toe shoes might not be a bad thing so i can wear stockings and freeze my arse off a little less!
what size feet do you have, pagey?
i have a beautiful pair of vintage red velvet heels that i bought on ebay and are just the teeeeniest bit too small for me, so i've never worn them.
hmmm, i will send you a photo and if you're interested and they may fit, you will be more than welcome to them. hold on a minute.
If they're the shoes I'm thinking of, they're hott!
You should check ebay, pagey. And find me a new pair of red leather flats while you're at it.
my Rocco pointy black boots are still for sale. just sitting here in my room gathering dust
I love shoes lion, since moving to the middle east. Never used to be a shoes and accessory girl. But now... <3 <3 <3
Just bought some strappy Nine West dark grey heels. Hott. Oooh, and some burgundy suede heels. So sexy.
my Rocco pointy black boots are still for sale. just sitting here in my room gathering dust
You should try them on again today KK. It was hot the day you bought them and your feet might've been a bit swollen from the heat.
pic/details of teh rocco points?
foxy is like the awesome fairy godmother of mess and noise. check your PMs, lovely!
nah, foxy is a bit of an idiot and said they were velvet when they're actually suede.
if pagey doesn't want them, i'll probably still give them away cos they really are useless to me.
anyone have size 6 1/2 - 7 ish feet and want some red suede heels that look like this:

i bought them off ebay about 2 years ago and i've never ended up wearing them cos the measurements were screwy and they don't fit me. they're just taking up space and not being enjoyed, so i would have no problem passing them on and letting someone else use them.
sorry bout the crappy pix, i suck at photos.
i need to buy new shoes. i had two pairs of casual wear shoes and they both broke. now i have to wear a pair of heels if i want to leave the house. its appalling! i blame moving states.
Me me me!!!!!
Don't give them to anyone else. I'll be home in June. I'm serious!!! They're exactly what I'm looking for!!!!
ohh. i want some of these:

Oh, they are pretty Sharps.
they also come in black:

pity they're exclusively sold from a UK store.. would cost around $180 to get em shipped here.. an dthen they may not be the right fit etc..
oh but still.. am thinking about it. is that wrong?
Whoops.
Not wrong. Possumly silly. But if they work it'd be lovely.
yeh you right.
also, i'd look utterly ridiculous in something so refined/petite.. my stump like legs couldn't carry 'em off. then i'd be left with $180 worth of pretty ornaments. i guess i'd be better off sticking some real swallows onto a pair of gumboots.
I just bought $140 worth of shoes for $60!!!!!!
this includes a pair of cute Keds for $20!
whoot whoot whoot whoot!!!!!!
so many exclaimation marks!! WHOOOOOO!
where from lir?
Converse Factory outlet @ Spencer St DFO for the Keds.
These ones:

They have a fair few that were down to $40 and then they halved it again.
I managed to drag the boys on a shoe shopping expedition. I'm very proud they didn't even complain!
My favourites are sturdy heel, not too high, not too chunky, with an ankle strap. The more delicate and feminine the better.

!! I want (need) some t-bar shoes like this.
gunshot - I have seen that before as funny 'The Wedge'.
I only just noticed my Scarface shoes have 'the world is yours' on the bottom of them. I just fell in love with them again.
I want a cool new pair of skate shoes. Ones that aren't so huge and have slightly more neutral colours than bright red.
Really, I just want a new pair of Appleyard Rewires in the same colors as my previous ones that I killed. I love them.
I got me some nice new shoes

The black ones were $19.99 and the silver brogues were $24.99 Yay for bargains
they offend me
gotta say those silver brogues are every kind of proper horrid!
i used to have a very similar pair to the black sandals
i got so fed up with them one night i threw them out of the window of wherever we were
then got thrown out for not having shoes on
Yeah they might be a tad too high for me...but I love looking at them
All I want is these...

Emerica Jerry Hsu (in grey and orange).
did you buy them over the internet hayley?
um no
I got them at Femme Connection on Swanston street...that really gross cheapo shop where hungry jacks used to be (in melb)
I have photos of them for my blog (fashion hayley's fashion blog)
omg, those shoes hurt my eyes fh.
Those red ones are pretty hott, freaks.
nice little blog FH
ta hattie
Leave FH alone, I don't mind them.
I wouldn't wear them, they're not my style. But I reckon they would suit FH
wow, i don't live in melbs...is that second hand or new?
so nice
These look hideously uncomfortable.
And these are just weird.
La Bomba that was new, yay for cheap! However I already need to replace the plastic on the bottom of the heel for the silver brogues...that always happens with cheap shoes. I get it replaced for $15 at the shoe guy at the Target centre and it never ever comes off again!
I'm loving these, but 45 pounds is a bit too much to pay :(
Although, if I lived in Zimbabwe, they'd cost me $2,667,937.
Reverb just got himself a pair of these:

Funkii Munkii, Is this you in this video?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCF3ywukQYA
Peaches just got herself some o these puppies...

But not in black..Mmm...patent leather..
Mmm...French...
Oh sharpy those birdy heels are GORGEOUS.
Also FF did you ever get these:
?
I got a pair very similar if not exactly from China 'cause I needed some runners when my own shoes were falling apart. I got 'em for $10 Aussie... not to rub it in or anything.
Not in my size, so maybe someone on here wants to bid for them:
1950's Vintage Heels with French rose detailing on the heels. Narrow size 8, apparently.
ARGH I WANT THEM SO BAD! Fucken feet.
I always look at high heels appreciatively because they are generally gorgeous and then realise that they will:
a) make me unbelievably taller than everyone else
and b) fucking destroy my feet from the pain.
so I rarely ever buy them. Always tempted though.
P.S Melissa Shoes is having a sale at the moment.
Buy some plastic shoes!
So stand unbelievably taller than everyone else. Make them crane their necks to behold you!
I'm 5'11'', and I proudly wear 5'' heels.
haha, maybe I should. I'm 6ft and a bit. People already crane their necks to behold me.
I do have some heels and I do wear them on occasion. But I am pretty awkward in general so I don't really like to draw that much attention to myself.
Plus do you find that you really have to train your feet to deal with high heels? My feet can't cope with it for long periods of time.
I've always just kinda been comfortable in heels; never had to train my feet.
I wouldn't wear them every day or anything like that, though. I love my little ballet flats too.
One of my close friends is 6'2''. She wore high-heeled boots to my housewarming party, and all the male friends of my housemates couldn't stop staring. She looked gorgeous, and there was no way you could miss her.
This conversation is making me really want to buy a new pair of heels.
DO IT!
I have some more new shoes. This time flat pointy brogues from Aboh shoes on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy (its closing down, all woman's shoes are $35, woman's boots $55 and men's shoes are all $65)
My new shoes are mens shoes actually. I loved heaps of the woman's shoes there too but they were all too small (There are an amazing pair of dip dyed prada-esque booties with a gold buckle and super high heel that I LOVED but sadly the size 42 didn't fit as they run on the small side, it was more like a size 40)

I've wanted floral docs forever...wow they are amazing...if I only I could cut off my toes and still balance and walk then I could wear them.
just found this!
need to see if they ship to aus and start saving.

woah, these frighten me.

Those brown shoes are so lovely!
there is a $500+ pair of shoes in sole devotion i would kill for. i doubt my orthotics will fit in them though, and they'd probably make my feet worse.
so is that dress.
I need new boots really badly. I want black patent ones that come to just below the knee, no heel.
I bought some similar ones to this, except they're round toe and half an inch higher.. They look amazing with opaques

My boots came.
It's love. We're getting married in the springtime.
Hello ladies, whatchu doin' tonight? You're lookin' HOTT!

melissa hello shoes in some kind of flocked plastic.
i think i need these in my life
i just bought these:

*swoons*
I had a dreadful time with boots this Winter. Everything I liked was over $200, and I'm a cheapskate, so I got nothing.
Those brownish-red shoes that Imaginarylion posted are to die for. My requirements for shoes: feminine, comfortable, non-chunky, no spikey heels, no witches pointed toes. I like a slender round toed shoe. I don't want much.
i have to buy boots as and when i find them, no matter what they cost. damn chunky calves.
i need boots for europe winter trip, but have the normal-sized-foot/fat-person-calves issue.. where to buy boots? must be simple, black or brown, not ugly and flatish
so many lovely shoes....i need a trip to spain really bad to get some wedding shoes
OHHH Goldbuttons I bought some Floral Docs on ebay USA recently. I love love love them :>
if you're having real issues with it, sharpie, you can buy boots that almost fit and then take them to a shoe repairer to get stretchy elastic panels or matching leather panels put in.
i have a friend who does this, though i'm not sure how much it costs her.
mr freaks bought some beautiful handmade leather shoes recently. Really nice

...damn...

Nodding head approvingly...

OH! shoe lust!

these have to be about the cutest shoes ever. anyone got a spare $250+ to lend me for these tidy little numbers??? te casan website here.
god there's some hideous shoes in circulation at the moment
The shoe fair is on next weekend. Only industry allowed, is anyone going?
i need comfortable good shoes for walking a lot in and have no idea where to start, they have to be not very structured because that style looks bad with dresses/skirts and I don't know where to start.
help wise ones?!
New shoes!

I love them. Very Prada-esque, and only $30!
I really like these!
But I'm worried that I'm blinded by my love, and that they're actually quite ugly. Are they ugly?
I tried these on in David Jones yesterday, and now I'm suffering from severe shoe lust. Where's my mysterious benefactor when I need him?

Does anyone know if On A Shoestring which was for many years in Smith St (Collingwood/Fitzroy) has moved to a different location, or if the people who ran it are now at another shop, or if similar stock is available elsewhere? They've been keeping me in chunky-sole Mia mary-janes for about a decade and now that I again have a stand-up-all-day-on-concrete-floor job I really miss those shoes (I regrettably chucked my last pair out cos they were excess baggage). I used to buy a new pair just as the old pair started getting a bit past-it and sometimes had a few pairs on the go at the same time.
Suggestions?
There's an On A Shoestring shop listed in Balwyn. Don't know if it's the same folks.
Unit 1, 351-353 Whitehorse Rd, Balwyn
Ph: (03) 9830 2240
cool. thanks.
The Balwyn one's closed too and I NEED MY MIAs!!!
Unit 1, 351-353 Whitehorse Rd, Balwyn
They closed a little while ago.
:-(
Still on the shoe trail. Here's a question for those more experienced than me in this mail-order lark:
Now, I've found a US website and shoes comparing to Off Ya Tree TUKs are a darnside cheaper and I'm economically challenged, shall we say. If something's about $50-US, that makes it about $70 Aus at today's exchange rate, or something... plus postage...
What's an Australian ladies size 8 in US sizes? How about US mens sizes?
Or should I just buy then locally so I can try them on beforehand, with a nice pair of explorer socks if needbe?
I just did a postage calculate and it'll be about 40 bucks US for postage (rip off!), making it almost unreasonable. Now I'm wavering...
paging Mrs.Charisma to the thread

''Mondopoint''????
Anyone know of any good online shoe shops? I need some good boots to keep my footsies warm in winter, but I can't find any!
I just bought a pair of these:

Hey, Judy:

HIGH HATTS!
God I love those shoes!
They is my bestest ever. I'm ordering black ones online. I didn't realise I could do that!
I love ordering shoes online! I've allocated a very miniscule amount of my fairly epic tax return to spend on footwear and clothing. I could easily go way overbaord. Even though I now own 60 pairs of shoes, which is frankly ridiculous. On the weekend I discovered a pair of emerald green and gold YSL platform wedges that I forgot I bought and that have never even been worn. Totally ridiculous.
Chrissie Morris makes the best best best shoes. Art deco inspired, not too crazy high, so beautiful.

Those blue ones are hott, but I don't think I could handle the height.
WANT.

old news, but i would wreck a pair of these tims over a 30 year period
ahh shoe threads. champagne internet.
i think i am going to ebay a few pairs of mine. au revoir prada
I have black Leather Pumas with gold trimming. Pumas are the shit.
Good for city strutting.
I have my eye on some silver ones with laces and velcro but they might sell before I have the dosh.
I think I want some of these. Sadly, brogues have a perfect record when it comes to destroying my feet.
![]()
Ridiculous.
Speaking of ridiculous, I think I'll wear my red patent studded Gucci platforms on Saturday, seeing as I've never worn them outside the house due to their impracticality.
Alien Shoes!
I think I might wear my grey shiny £2 Primark pumps that look like this:
HOW AMAZING IS HIS NEW COLLECTION, LILO??
I totally lost my shit over it yesterday. Not as good as his earlier stuff in my mind, but still pretty damn fab.
If you want to see amazing shoes, head to the London Fashion Week-inspired shoot in Vogue UK this month. The most BRILIIANT Nina Ricci heels, worn by Kate Moss in a tutu and a pair of McQueens worn by Lily Donaldson, also wearing all McQueen.
If I had a scanner, I'd scan the shit out of them.
Actually, only the latter half is amazing. The first half is a bit boring.
I tried these on in black in Miss Louise. I WANT THEM.

More weird shoes:

they scare me
The angle of the foot isn't actually that high, though. Particularly in that crocodile-style pair, you can see were the foot is sitting, and the rest is just platform. The angle itself is just the same as any other heel.
Of course, they'll still be tricky to walk in first time, but far more comfortable than a sky-high heel without a toe platform! Or worse, a ballet boot.
I think they look remarkable. I've fallen in love with McQueen in the last month.
The new Chrissie Morris collection is amazing!
I want that last one..
I love my orange patent leather shoes so, so much.

(yes, that's a microwave in the background..)
I want these Jil Sander shoes so badly.

They'd go perfectly with my 300 beetle wings that should have arrived in the mail by now.

I'll quit after my third attempt.

Got a pair of these dirt cheap in LA:

and also managed to replace my much-loved Jordans!

(mind you, they cost six times as much as the original pair...)
Saw these in Guadalajara airport but couldn't find my size...

How do you stop your toes going numb and tingly in a pair of heels?
I has it now, and they're only in the break-in stage.
I wish pictures loaded faster on my computer so I could see all the pretty pictures.
Kaylene's loaded first - I say yes, yes, yes.
My new babies
Opening Ceremony desert boots

Abington Hiking boots

Very nice Blake3030. Those Opening Ceremony ones are great. The leather looks so soft. Nubuck are they?
I like the hiking boots, but the Opening ceremony moccas. Does anyone wear Timberland anymore or are they a 90's thing?

Just purchased these Jonathan Kelsey for Mulberry shoes.

The fuchsia ones.
They are nice sweetheart. Can I wear them when your not home?
I like the hiking boots, but the Opening ceremony moccas. Does anyone wear Timberland anymore or are they a 90's thing?
Mainly rappers with a lot of gold bling and baggy jeans
Would they rust in the rain I wonder...
i like the opening ceremony boots. I love that label, have 2 dresses and one shirt which I love.
I like these american apparel shoes but i suppose they are for guys. they're not cheap either.
[(http://store.americanapparel.com.au/rwshoe.html#i)] link
oh i give up
