Looks excruciatingly bad.

apparently cage has a tattoo of the rider on his upper arm.

hyperfuzz  said about 5 years ago:

ghost rider, motorcycle hero... baby-baby-baby he's a blazin' away... america america is killin' it's youth..

switchbladesisters  said about 5 years ago:

I bet he does that 'concerned look' he is known for at least 8 times over the course of the film.

anok  said about 5 years ago:

i thought it looked terrible too, but someone has been working hard to convince me otherwise. anyway, stumbled across them shooting for this in the treasury gardens (i think they're called?), a year or two back. i guess most people here had something like that happen. they were all over nth melbourne at one stage

anok  said about 5 years ago:

i'm thinking double-figures within the first hour switch.

A girl i used to work with is an extra in this movie. keep an eye out for the blonde wearing red lipstick and blue eyeshadow. she wore that makeup to work too... it was like in the simpsons when the shotgun was set to whore.

switchbladesisters  said about 5 years ago:

Nicolas Cage- Master of Screen Concern.

switchbladesisters  said about 5 years ago:

From WTC, for anok... recognise that expression?

Seymour  said about 5 years ago:

This thread is getting dangerously close to dissing Nicolas Cage.

miss katie  said about 5 years ago:

hehehehehe.

nice pics of nicholas.

he really is concerned.

number none  said about 5 years ago:

I saw it yesterday, it was fun. It was a big dumb popcorn eating, leave your brain at the door, super hero flick. What are you expecting, François Truffaut?

Cage was great, does his hillbilly/Elvis schtick to a tee. And Eva Mendes, i think her clevage got listed in the credit seperatly cause it stole every scene she was in.

I'm amazed how much Melbourne can be made to look like Dallas, Texas. Watch for the Dallas Crane poster cameo.

VelvetDogge  said about 5 years ago:

all you listing cage's best performances - you left out 'vampire's kiss'.

ghost rider was not bad - the transformation bit was the best thing.

BADALEX  said about 5 years ago:

Mrmusic- No. Bringing Out The Dead is Nicholas Cage's best movie.

doyle  said about 5 years ago:

I'm sick of the "leave your brain at the door" excuse for a film. I like my brain. It can be entertained in a bland way quite well, just not if I leave all sense of proportion and internal logic by the wayside.

number none  said about 5 years ago:

doyle, its a blockbuster, not arthouse is what i'm saying. Ang lee tried to turn his hulk movie into a greek tragedy and the end result was near unwatchable.

BADALEX  said about 5 years ago:

Nope. You just have to watch the good bits.

Hulk fighting gamma hulk poodle? Good.

Hulk kicking tanks around? Good.

What's is face as Thunderbolt Ross? Good.

Actually. I'm not sure there was anything else in the movie...

number none  said about 5 years ago:

exactly Badalex, that film could have been done in about 15 mins

McGauz  said about 5 years ago:

mate of mine worked on this film. said all of the Australian crew's names were left off the end credits. After going to see it yesterday, he's glad they were because it said it sucks major arse, and to see it at my own peril. I will see it still heh.

sister  said about 5 years ago:

i saw it yesterday too.

I loved it.

It was big and stupid and fun and the city looked great.

I grew up on those desert-like western plains of Melbourne's outer western suburbs and it's the first time I've ever seen them presented in a big mythological statement.

as they say in the classics, the landscape was like another character.

hand hell  said about 5 years ago:

So, is there any Suicide on the soundtrack?

tilljames  said about 5 years ago:

i had a ball watching the hulk....

djbollocks  said about 5 years ago:

Suicide's Ghost Rider would be pefect as the theme song - I hope they had the sense to use it.

davehatesyou  said about 5 years ago:

OK. I so have to see this. Even if only so I can sing the song, Rollins-style, all the way through.

history  said about 9 months ago:

holy shit

they actually made a part 2!

JRB  said about 9 months ago:

Helly yeah!

I loved the first one. Stupid shit with no attempt at being anything mroe than a movie about a dude with a flaming skull who rides a motorbike. Bring it on!
