North Korea...

danielz  said about 5 years ago  or at  12:40PM on Thursday, July 6 2006 in chat

... is like the person who calls at 6.43pm when you're already trying to make your dinner and wash your clothes.

i hope the UN sends them a message that says: "seriously, North Korea, just shut the fuck up, I've got a lot on my hands now".

North Korea has published the first adult photograph of the youngest son and heir apparent to leader Kim Jong-il.

Kim Jong-un was this week handed key posts in the regime, paving the way for his ascension to the leadership.

A group photo released by North Korean state media shows Kim Jong-un sitting at the front of officials of the ruling party.

The photo shows an overweight young man in dark pants and jacket.

Seated near him and wearing sunglasses is his father, the so-called Dear Leader, Kim Jong-il.

It is the first time North Korea has released an adult picture of Kim Jong-un, who was this week promoted to the rank of four-star general and appointed to key positions within the ruling party.

It now appears certain the dictator's youngest son is in line to succeed him.

I wonder if Kim Jong-un is going to be even better at golf than his dad.

''If the official government media is to be believed, Kim is easily the greatest golfer, the world has ever seen.

Pyongyang media say Kim enjoys golf, having shot multiple holes-in-one during his first try at the game. He reportedly aced five holes and finished 38 under par on the golf course. The ''Dear Leader'' routinely shoots three or four holes-in-one per round, the government-controlled media reported.''

In the last 2 hours North Korea and South Korea have started attacking each other.

Replace 'North Korea' with 'Everett True' and 'South Korea' with 'Circle Pit' and people might actually give a shit around here.

Ha!

Interesting how this came a day or two after the revelation that North Korea have an almost fully functioning nuclear weapons plant.

tinyman  said about 1 year ago:

i'm saddened by that. cos nth korea really wouldn't give a fuck about being seen in the world media as killing it's own dissidents. they are a bit nuttier than Libya, aren't they?

tinyman  said about 1 year ago:

i support international military intervention to help some of these revolutions around the world.

but then they say the people need to do it themselves, can't force change on them or it'll be just like in Iraq and Afghanistan. i don't know. it's sad.

TagoMago  said about 1 year ago:

north korea makes libya look like quebec in terms of personal liberties. im not sure how word even got in that this movement int he middle-east is occuring.

Me too. What I'd the point of having a United Nationd Security Council that does nothing when a dictator flat out states that he is going to massacre unarmed civilians (except threaten not to invite that dictator to any more meetings, when said dictator clearly doesn't give a shit about those meetings anyway)?

TagoMago  said about 1 year ago:

when has the un ever done anything? they're just a glorified limosine service for white folk, to drive and fly them into and out of trouble as the situation fits. they do nothing but watch africans and arabs kill eachother.

Peter  said about 1 year ago:

well...perhaps not, TagoMago, but a hierarchy of secrecy ensures that the UN will be overridden by small, medium & large cabals with much more restricted, foolish & often dangerous objectives.
