Does anybody have any? Up until now, I have pretty much exclusively been a US/Europe kind of traveller, but I am off to Thailand next and am therefore in the market for advice.
I'm flying into Phuket and out of Bangkok and have heard I must go to Chiang Mai...

go to weekend markets called chadachuck
catch BMT (train) to Mo Chit
oh have dinner/ drinks at the state tower. resturant is called sirricco
Me too... need MSG-free food options on west coast of Phuket.
Did you do a search before starting this thread? I don't think you did, did you?
The other Thailand holiday thread
don't accept any hand drawn maps from drugged up mad wee scotsmen indicating the location of a perfect, isolated beach - you might find yourself drawn into a third-rate lord of the flies situation with an unfeasible ensemble cast of actors with dodgy accents.
Oi! Watch yrself nicko, I fucken love that movie!
oops, sorry. indeed you are correct.
thanks
bye!
go to Koh Chang
When do you leave?
Ladyboys!!!
here's a tip: don't steal bar mats.
story here, jerks.
And if you are going to steal bar mats, don't whinge endlessly/have your kids and husband whinge endlessly to the press. Because that would make me hate the sight of you, before you even know who I am.
yeah.. i was going to punch that ''it's nooott faiiir'' kid in the face from the news.
Go to the floating markets in Amphawa (south-west of BKK about 1.5 hours). Plus, the Rama II Museum is also nearby...definitely worth a look.
Also - definitely head to Ayutthaya, which is the ex-capital of Thailand......packed full of history, palaces and amazing temples etc
And go to Kanchanaburi with the Bridge over the River Kwai etc.
I've yet to go to the South of Thailand, but I've also heard that Koh Lanta is great.
maybe not much help but...
