I'm still struggling to get my ratio above 1.0, which is when I'll be given some invites. Think I'm still at about 0.4, no-one wants anything I've downloaded :-(

yeah its pretty hard. i used to be a member, and had a decent ratio but then they brought on ratio watch the same time i went on annual leave and my account was disabled.

are you leaving your torrents running for at least 72 hours? what about filling requests?

I've got accounts on other ratio-monitored sites, and never seem to have problems keeping at 1.0 on those, but at Oink it always seems when I join a torrent that there are 4 seeds and no leeches, then no-one elses joins after me.

Bah.Luckily I've downloaded less than a Gb, so I'm in no fear of getting booted off, it's just a bit annoying.

Music uploaded here must not be freely available on the web (from official sources such as record label or band websites). If you could just download from the web, so can everyone else. Uploads can be from other torrent sites but you take responsibility for determining that the music is not transcoded.

I want someone to start up a music torrent site where the rules are you can only upload 'out of print' music. I realise users would have to be more diligent, but the only stuff I uploaded to OiNK was stuff that was 'out of print', and generally speaking, most of what I downloaded was 'out of print' as well.

The one thing I remember downloading which was a new album was New Buffalo's Somewhere, Anywhere, because I'm in the UK. I have since bought a copy (ordered from Australia).
