Today is apparently the Japanese release date for AWK's new album "Close Calls With Brick Walls". I've been looking on soulseek for a leaked copy, but no luck so far.
I put a bunch of Andrew WK rarities and new stuff up in the gmail account a while back, too.

I don't think this has been posted before.
I went to his club in NY recently - Santa's thingo/aka 100 Lafayette on L.E.S. Was fun - there were all sorts of dumb motivational messages stuck to the walls on fluro paper. They had a KICKASS PA, and N.E.R.D played, and the vodka drinks were free and Kanye was there! One of Kanye's minders saw me carrying 4 drinks through the crowd and said ''damn, I ain't never seen that shit before''.
Was just having a look at AWK's wikipedia entry and saw this-
Has anyone heard anything about this? That's all kinds of wrong if it's true.
There's a few theories about the US release issue, though common theory is that island records still holds the rights and he can't break the contract.
Makes more sense than that one, since CCWBW got a US vinyl release?
It says the above on his website, too. Apparently, he's forbidden from releasing CDs but not vinyl. Spreading weird misinformation about himself seems to be one of WK's favourite hobbies, though.
