Anyone else going?
tempted to.
Found some reasonably priced apartments in Barcelona then, but they're for more than one person
What sort of price?
Depends on the number of people.
Btween £18 and £28 a night for two-four people
Hmm, that is very reasonable indeed.
Gonna be very tempting, this.
Flights on EasyJet are about £110 for Wednesday to Sunday
Opodo for £89
Expedia has flights and rooms for those dates for £250
i'm thinking about this, heb. might see you soon...
MELVINS PERFORM HOUDINI
The latest confirmation on the ATP-curated portion of our festival is here. American band Melvins, one of the main influences for the nineties underground rock scene, will visit Estrella Damm Primavera Sound 2007 to perform exclusively their album "Houdini", for many considered the highest point of their career.
Pretty sure I'm gonna go, probably to ATP vs the fans as well
Anyone else planning?
Airfares went up £10 today - new taxes
Im not missing it this year. Forgot it is Uk long weekend + more tax = upwards of £160 for flights. ouch.
Long weekend is week before.
Hmmmmmm... very tempted.

if i'm around i'll prob go, will be in portugal / spain during april to early may, if possible may try stay somewhere cheap for a month and wait around for it
If Simon and Garfunkel do Bridge Over Troubled Water I will go
the melvins were amazing at atp, they didnt do houdini though they just played whatever they wanted (for a very long time!). so it would definately be worth seeing
any idea when the lineup starts getting announced for the non atp acts?

Damn anok, who is there AS WE SPEAK! Cunt. Hope he/she is having a great time.
808 State
Animal Collective
Clipse
Digital Mystikz
Ellen Allien
Public Enemy
Six Organs Of Admittance
Throbbing Gristle
Young Marble Giants
Dr. Octagon
Edan & MC Dagha
It would be worth it for these acts alone
I didn't know you were a Clipse fan shaun. I wish they would tour here, though that is unlikely. There's about 100 other acts I could add to that list.
I'm not a massive Clipse fan, I don't listen to their records, I just think I'd have a good time leaning on someones shoulder smiling up at the stage and waving my legs in front of me. That's pretty much my criteria for a good live act - unencumbered pleasure with no consideration for potential embarrassment.
I still can't believe I missed Edan play at Candys. One of those facts of life I guess.
Agreed. I want to dance like a maniac, make people think I've escaped from the closest psych ward and enjoy it almost as much as sex. It worked for LCD Soundsystem at the BDO this year.
Devo! Bob Mould!
Too drug fucked, didnt see it.
anok - when are we going to hear your report back from Primavera?
I've almost based my entire travels next year around attending this.
Devo, Fuck Buttons, Public Enemy, Man Man, The Sonics and Mary Weiss were all goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood (Devo, Fuck Buttons and Sonics were GREAT). I was too tired to bother with much more. Especially after being heartbroken to find that Greg Cartwright was not playing in Mary Weiss' band.
can't be arsed broey! sceaux gave a good review in the other thread.
Well I'm just going to have to get the lowdown from you when I next see you then.
My review
The draft got put up, so the corrected version will be up soon.
dude, are you sure malkmus was on stage with the jews? cos i could've sworn he spent the first 3/4rs of the set watching from the the crowd, signing autographs and posing for pictures with kids, before ducking away (i assume to prepare for his own set which started 15 minutes after the jews ended).
whoops.
I am just insanely jealous you guys not only got to go to this but hell, you're in Barcelona!
