personally, i'm indifferent

i think craig's rise from macca's deep fryer to world touring put a few people's noses out of joint.

then had rock star breakdown, and many laughed.

musically i think they're ok. i've met pat on a couple of occasions and he's an upright dude. i don't know their story or their hype......they're just a band

they prompted much derisive laughter when we saw them at the big day out a few years ago - they could barely play their instruments

i like a couple of songs but i really couldn't give a shit either way

the whole "we're so craaazy thing" got on a lot of people's nerves. especially when it all seemed so staged.

musically, i don't really care either way.

they seem to gain back alot of respect at homebake and splendour last year. then again i don't mind some of their stuff. and i prefer them to jet.

they were actually pretty competent at homebake. i was surprised.

though craig seemed to be turning into chris bailey.

i dont/didnt mind them, but they really were the worst band I've ever seen live.

The most annoying thing I can remember was their trashing the stage thing after every show. Kinda got way too contrived for mine.

They looked like a band that were pretty happy at BDO.
They played like a unit and the body language was good.
Their playing seems to be in reverse to their hype these days.

i think they're fucken great.

i really liked the first album.

quite liked the second.

hated the third.

I went to a You Am I gig years and years ago, just when You Am I were starting to really fade and The Vines were a little band that YAI had taken along for the ride.

They were handing out free Vines demos and I picked one up. It sounds.. er.. interesting. A mate described it as "The Beatles, but without being able to play instruments".

Does it go on the ebay as a "COLLECTORS ITEM ULTRA RARE $1 NR"?

I remember Kingsmill cracking the shits on Triple J at the time saying they were disgraceful to act that way on a show that many bands would give their right arm to have an appearance on.

They have ''Autumn Shade 3'' on the new album - is this a running joke amongst the band? Autumn Shade 1 was good, Autumn shade 2 was lame, I wonder if part 3 will be a travesty?
