I like listening to my program when someone else is doing it - top work Dave (and Tim in advance)!
I find it weird when I'm doing my show and at the same time dj'ing somewhere else!! Ah yes the old pre-record........
The old stream (which is meant to be running until the end of the month) isn't. I only found out about this when I noticed that this week's International Pop Underground recording was 4k long.
Once again the To And Fro boys (this time Tim) are doing an excellent Transference.
Not enough Huey Lewis, though.
i gotta say there are a lot of boring shows of triple r. as much as triple j can drive me stir crazy, often i'll be forced to flick back after a brief visit to triple r cos there seems to be a complete absece of energy coming from triple r. pbs is ok at night but it's like visiting an old person's home during the day
sorry clem, crap like huey lewis should never be played on triple r, even for ironic value
most of those comments apply to me going to work approx 6am, driving truck around at work 7-4-ish and coming home from work
the weekend programming works for me... ie just leaving the radio on while i do chores around the house etc
I would never play Huey Lewis for ''ironic'' value, since I don't believe in the concept. Anything I play, I play because I love it.
well Huey Lewis is fodder/crap that you should limit to personal use only
ooops maybe i made the fatal error of giving my opinion????
nobody should worry too much, i'm still a subscriber and regular listener
Eh? I don't care! My personal opinion is that Huey Lewis is a god and The News were one of rock's greatest backing bands of all time.
that's fine, enjoy Heuy in the privacy of your own home. it doesn't mean you should play it on RRR. i'm sure a random survey of listeners would provide empirical evidence to back up my opinion
anyway this is a futile discussion, i can easily just turn it off if i hear it, prob better music on gold 104
The enjoyable irony of this discussion is that not once in Transference's history have I played Huey. Not even in the official Pineapple Express soundtrack bracket!
hey Clem what was that song you played a few weeks back about not wanting to go to work? I want to play that in my car on the way to work every morning.

i turned off when i heard them playing the lucksmiths.

ha ha this is so true. pbs is like an old persons home and rrr is like visiting a cafe on brunswick street.
k2, if it went ''Oh I wish that they'd sack me, and leave me to sleep'', then it's I Wish That They'd Sack Me, off Chumbawamba's excellent album from earlier in the year, The Boy Bands Have Won.
All over the shop is Great. STEW is great. I'd love to have a beer with STEW.
And Biggsie on friday morning.
Southern Style on PBS is an old peoples home show that I can dig every now and then.
Tim sounded almost exactly like Richard Moffat I thought. I got massively confused and thought it was Wednesday and couldn't understand why he wasn't playing all Australian music.
Thats exactly what i thought
