Where in Sydney can one get one relatively cheap? They're the only diary I like to use outside of my computer.

ADVICE DUDES! DO IT!!!

michael_horse  said about 5 years ago:

how cheap ?

i just saw someone with one the other day ... $35 or something ... seemed expensive to me

Countess  said about 5 years ago:

they seem to be all over the place now. but they are expensive where ever you get them from.
MCA has 'em

poprocks96  said about 5 years ago:

borders ?

Countess  said about 5 years ago:

nice pic by the way

Countess  said about 5 years ago:

is that inks?

Ohyeah  said about 5 years ago:

art gallery of NSW, borders, pretty much anywhere dude but art gallery is loveliest

plaidplaidgirl  said about 5 years ago:

I got one for Christmas, but I haven't seen any in the shops for less than $20...

goldfoot  said about 5 years ago:

The art shop in Newtown sell em.

VoxFuzz  said about 5 years ago:

6er - there's an entire window display in Pentimento on King St, Newtown. They've got all kinds.

Get me a new one while you're there, if you don't mind. Thanks.

tilljames  said about 5 years ago:

try dymocks in george st.
should have em.
most people sell em at rrp which is about $33.
rarely will they be on special.

Ohyeah  said about 5 years ago:

hey vox did you go to the burleqsue thingo at spigel last night?

michael_horse  said about 5 years ago:

free with a 12 pack of donuts from krispy kreme

for the next 10 mins only

GO, NOW!

redlips  said about 5 years ago:

what goldie said - and they is a couple of dollas cheaper than up the road at pentimento.
they is pretty much the same price everywhere.

I'm digging the new layout with the week on one page and lines on the other page... though I do miss my vertical week-to-a-view.

VoxFuzz  said about 5 years ago:

yeah! I was there for M Ward and hung around. Don't tell me you were there?

the power of 666  said about 5 years ago:

yeah, I guess it's just i'm looking for the most reasonable price. I've got a friend who normally hooks me up for free, but I hate asking. I might just drop into Pentimento, it's on the way home.

there's some kind of magic with the little pricks, I love em! A diary & a blank pager is a necessity going into a new year.

Ohyeah  said about 5 years ago:

aye outside, but had a little too much champayne i fear.

6er they were about $26 at art gallery shop.

cool, thanx!

Wasn't aware of a new layout! Week to a view is nice, but that sounds more practical & fun for drawing dicks flying through space crashing into bagels.

VoxFuzz  said about 5 years ago:

Awww. Missed again.

Bittervictorian  said about 5 years ago:

I was in the Art Gallery yesterday and they had a big display of them - might actually have them on sale? Maybe call em up!

the power of 666  said about 5 years ago:

oh, and countess, it's a found pic, not mine unfortch!

I need a new one of these, was awesome when I was OS.

tilljames  said about 4 years ago:

YES!!! ...they fixed it!

they never broke it, there's always been that one and the other one. the other one just sells out quicker.
i personally like the one with the lines, i can jot my love poems to poprocks down there.

poprocks96  said about 4 years ago:

You jot poems to me down there??? Weird.

tilljames  said about 4 years ago:

you're weird.
but not as weird as apples
sometimes when they
go funny like crab apples in
Tasmania.

and the pidgeon cried 'cooo!'
for poprocks had arrived.

entry number 46 from till's 2007 moleskine.

redlips  said about 3 years ago:

ok... so I thought I had decided the diary I want for next year but now...

MOLESKINE HAVE BROUGHT BACK VERTICAL FORMAT

now I'm torn... I spent a lot of yesterday wandering between dymocks and kikki k in broadway. I still have no idea what to buy and I need one SOON - my January is filling up.

de.foxus  said about 3 years ago:

i bought my diary today - kikki k a6 day to a page.

and i already stuffed it up :(

redlips  said about 3 years ago:

:( doncha hate that foxy! how did you stuff up your diary?

I'm certain I want a week to a view (cos I like to see how my week ''looks'' at a glance) but I don't know what size to go. On the one hand, I want something smaller and more portable than usual but on the other hand, I'm worried that when I actually get stuck into my year a small one won't be enough for my needs and it'll be too late.

I'm a little torn on colour too... traditionally I'd go red but I'm strangely drawn to yellow.

I'd kinda like to start a 365 journal from kikki k on my birthday and document the 30th year of my life... dunno how long that project'll last.

kuroneko  said about 3 years ago:

Mmmmmmoleskine. Do. Want. Is there an A5 kinda sized week-at-a-glance? Hmmm... Maybe I even need a day a page...

kuroneko asks the big questions. A continuing series

de.foxus  said about 3 years ago:

started golden plains a day in advance :(

it's still pretty, and i'm sure it'll look as beaten as a red headed stepchild eventually, but that first mistake when i've had it less than a day makes me feel very silly.

redlips  said about 3 years ago:

kuro - this is my problem... there's:

  • A5ish week to a glance HORIZONTAL format
  • A5ish week to a glance VERTICAL format, and
  • A5ish week to a glance where the days are on one side and there's notes room on the other side

and all except the vertical comes in red too. And the kikki k a5 week at a glance is better quality paper but only comes in horizontal format

see the dilemma I'm faced with!?!?

redlips  said about 3 years ago:

it's ok foxy - I've once gone through a brand new diary and put something that happens fortnightly in the wrong fortnight ALL THE WAY THROUGH!

redlips  said about 3 years ago:

kuroneko  said about 3 years ago:

I understand, lipsy. I just need a week that pays as much attention to Sat and Sun as Mon - Fri. Ddddddilemmas.

redlips  said about 3 years ago:

if you get the one with the notebook on the right hand side you could ''hack'' it and divide the notebook into 2 - one for each day of the weekend.

Or you could do what this guy did and rule up one yourself. The first year I used moleskine as a diary it was a ruled version of the squared notebook and I loved it. I just had 2 days per page so I divided each page in half - EASY!

elle-zo  said about 3 years ago:

I paid the extra 3 dollars and upgraded to RED for 2009. I have my hopes set on a big year!

DAILY DIARY. Hard red cover. Includes a tabbed pages insert and adhesive labels. 400 pages. Pocket size.

you get cute little stickers - 'adhesive labels'. Norrrr... and yeah, no address book, just an extra notebook.

might be useful.

the only one of these i've found is a collins debden silhouette diary. week to a view, with 7 days and a notes section for the week given equal space. they're less than $10 a pop from officeworks, and they come in a bunch of colours (my 2008 is PINK), but they're not as pretty or nice as a moleskine or kikki k.

HorseCockPhepner  said about 3 years ago:

Guys, you are talking about some pieces of paper glued together.

Inactivist  said about 3 years ago:

MOLESKINE HAVE BROUGHT BACK VERTICAL FORMAT

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Inactivist  said about 3 years ago:

Ah, I just saw in the category that they still do the horizontal, but I presume that not everyone will order every type in.

redlips  said about 3 years ago:

horizontal is still the major type inacty... there are way more of them (and not all places I've seen them have ordered in vertical) - if you're a horizontal fan you're still safe.
