not sure if this has been posted, but their '79 mini album Gravest Hits has been remastered and remixed and will be re-released soon with a slew of 'previously unreleased tracks from their first legendary Memphis recording sessions.' Should be good!

AWESOME.
As a first post, i wanna say im a devout follower, They have taught me much since i was a teen.
Im really hoping to see them up here in berlin this year.
I first heard the Cramps when they released "Look Mum No Head" and loved them ever since. I've never seen them live and hope they come to Australia.
i've seen em twice. hilarious
one of my all time favourite bands
Hoorah!
The Cramps fucked up my life, and i love them for it. 'Bad Music, For Bad People,' people.
appreciates
a date with elvis was my first cramps album, when i was 14. then i bought songs the lord taught us and off the bone with the 3d cover
love love love
might dig out my tshirt again
Wish i still had my 'Stay Sick' T-Shirt. Twas Nicked at a party by a Yob who decided he was gay. Kind of makes sense really
did he rip it off you or soemthing? what were you doing wandering around without yr shirt? wait, don't answer that
It was a dress up party, i was gonna get changed before the taxi. Unfortunatelty before i got my taxi, Clint got a champaigne bottle in a special place, and decided it was fishnets and Cramps t-shirts for him. It was a positive lifestyle change for him, so really i kind of let him have it.
I bought Off the Bone and Songs the Lord Taught Us yesterday at JB for $12 faaabulous.
And yeah, awesome band, awesome live show, awesome love video of playing in a lunatic asylum, awesome!
Anyone got the Ohio demos? These are supposed to be just about the wildest thing they did and destroy the released versions that're on Songs the Lord Taught Us. I was bidding on a boot LP on the weekend but couldn't be near the puter as it wound up.
Anyone got the Ohio demos?
Yeah, I DLd them a while ago. They're worth hearing.
so really i kind of let him have it.
so you were wielding the champagne bottle?
i can't find my date with elvis tape :(
Yeah, I DLd them a while ago. They're worth hearing.
Where'd you DL from? Where can I?
More.
bump for the 1984ness of it all.
and cos i was thinking of the cramps just the other day.
goo goo muck.
They are the band against which all other bands are measured.
all other bands' sanity?
i saw them once, at the phoenician, it was one of the greatest moments of my life.

There's a Cramps biopic in the works.
Eric Bana will play Lux. Poison Ivy will be played by Avril Lavigne.
I know, I know, fucking terrible casting choices!
No way!
Yeah no way.
!
Yeah, Avril should be playing Lux.
candy del mar was hott
Tribute night to the Cramps coming up in Sept.
actually...
[So you think you can cramps](http://www.melbournefringe.com.au/fringe-festival/show/so-you-think-
you-can-cramps)
Sat 8th Oct.
Celebrating the back alley dirge and creative power of punk rock heroes The Cramps, a slew of Melbourne acts will transform The Tote into a clammy psychobilly den for So You Think You Can Cramps - a tribute night with guts.
Formed in 1976 The Cramps erupted from a clammy womb of 1960's garage rock and 50s rhythm and blues. They continued to forge an impenetrable world of post-glam jungle mayhem, right up until the frontman's death in 2009.
Featuring The Exotics, Woollen Kits, UV Race, Super Wild Horses, Hissey Miyake, Pearls and more bands and DJs to be announced, each act will interpret the swamp surf sound of The Cramps paying homage to the late great Lux Interior and the band's enviable horror-blues icon Poison Ivy.

That sounds like more fun than most. Am contemplating a trip down to Melbs in early Oct, this might cement the dates for me cheers
Went to the tribute night last night, Super Wild Horses supergroup was the best on the line-up. Didn't stay to see Woollen Kits.
good fun, brides of christ were awesome
it was good but i was surprised when the bands started doing originals. call me a purist but i'd expected straight-up covers sets. 1250's got an odd schtick going on.
Such a rad night!
I loved every band, but i thought Teen Archer and hissey Miyake stole the show.

WTFFFFFFFFFFFF..... a music thread by Peter!
I brought 'Flame Job' into work today to listen to, because there's fucking no one in the workshop today. So an old co-worker walked in while 'Inside Out And Upside Down (With You)' was playing, prompting him to ask ''Who's playing Elvis?'' to which I responded ''Oh, it's not Elvis. It's the Cramps. They're like Elvis, but cooler''. He then repeated the sentence while laughing. You know the one ''Hurhurhurhurhurhur! Li-hi-hi-hi-hi-hi-ke Elvis but coo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-ler! Hurhurhurhurhur!''. He then listened intently to the song, all the while pissing himself laughing after every line. He's old.
Aye caramba!
My parents?
