I also bought these suckers the other day.
They were, in a word, INTENSE.

nice call. these remind me of my childhood.
'bliss' is correct.
what fun it would have been arguing to call them by their current name.
crackerjack!
what are they called now?
are they like "warheads". "warheads" rocked the playground in mordialloc circa 1991.
nah warheads are a different thing all together.
these things come in a silver lined bag and they are basically popcorn covered in caramel but way better with nuts
like a little silver cloud of joy
warheads were those little lollies that were sour and i think maybe they had really hot ones?
i think i have some kind of awful lolly gobble bliss bomb-related memory repressed somewhere inside of me, because just the mention of them makes me feel uncomfortable.
They are yummers- didn't think you could still actually get them.
They sell them at the video store but I'm always too poor to afford them. After getting five weeklies for $5 I just can't afford a box of candied popcorn. Woe.
NQR had boxes and boxes a few years ago. we bought up big. all gone now. haven't seen em in ages
My local NQR sells booze apparently- can't wait to get in there and see what they have.
you aren't lookin' hard enough. I just bought a packet at the supermarket.
how much? I thought they were always a bit expensive.
$2.75
i saw Toobs in the milkbar in northcote...still as tasty as ever and they still burn the roof of your mouth to high heaven!
Warheads occupied a very large part of my childhood. I'm sure i have slightly weaker tastebuds than most due to my excessive fascination with them.
Bliss bombs were a holy grail that was always that $1 too far away. I may have to buy a box, although i was probably richer as a child than i am now.
Warheads- oh lord! How 1992.
i have huge, deep splits in my tongue from warheads :(
that's what you get for trying to eat a whole showbags' worth in one go..
My brother won a whole boxful of Warheads (25 bags) once. My tongue still hasn't recovered!
sour or hot?
Sour. My tongue was peeling.
Do they still sell Warheads?
i remember crikey the clown on agro once stuffing as many warheads in his mouth as he could ... he was drooling and crying at the same time, it was comedy gold
this is a long shot, but anyone here remember Super Lemon from Daimaru? These pre-dated Warheads by about 3 years, and were imported from nippon. They were unbelievably sour on the outside (more than any warhead) and then sweet in the middle. We used to buy them and give them to people for a laugh. I used to buy heaps of imported jap lollies and snacks from Daimaru..
my dad worked for the place that released lolly gobble bliss bombs in australia. we used to have heaps of them, i never liked them.
popcorn should always be savoury.
google ftw :)
Sweet popcorn is great.
There used to be a gourmet popcorn stall at the mall. I wish they were still there.
mention of lolliegobbleblissbombs in todays The Age Online Epicure section
you think Michael Lallo reads this site?
daimaru was fantastic for japanese stuff! luckily a japanese supermarket has opened up at the prahran market
i can't find LGBBs at my supermarket though. doesn't mean they are not there though. just means i can't find them
Coles still stock them (but not every store). I'm a big fan of the Butterscotch Bliss Bombs.
oh i dont like them at all.
i think, when you have a good thing... just stick to it
