When I try to download iTunes again the message:
''The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable''.
&
''Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the package iTunes.msi in the box below''.
One forum suggests the Windows Installer Cleanup but that has been removed because it damaged other components or some shit.
what version of windows are you using?
if you haven't, try the options listed here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926
Windows XP, yo!
Right, that's it...I'm only coming here again when I want to brag about getting a root.
the itunes thread isn't a good place to brag about getting a root, unless it was with steve jobs.
Jobs is givin' that shit out left, right AND center!!!
I think I've fumbled my way through...fingers crossed dub mixtapes survived.
i'd offer to come over and help, but i'm not that good a swimmer.
Fixed.
unless it was white and curved?
I've fixed it...dub intact.
does anyone know of a way to get itunes on a pc for which you have - for some insane reason - not been given admin rights to?
if there is no way, what's the next best option? songbird?
does it sync to ipods?
Sorry whatwhat, I don't think there is a way to sync to iPods with third party apps — Apple encrypts them in a certain way. I could be wrong (obviously there are apps that give you folder access etc) but a quick scan of the forums suggests it isn't likely! Songbird is a pretty decent way to organise your tunes though.
Question from me: are all iTunes Music Store purchases copy-protected/DRM'd? If not, how can I tell if the files I bought are? I really wanna fucking send this shit hot crap around.
if it's a mp3 or you can convert it to mp3 then it doesn't have drm
It's an m4a. Great! Converting it now.
winamp works fine. don't need itunes for ipod with winamp.
Does that require admin rights to install, and can it do podcasts?
This is the first job in a decade where I've not had admin rights. Major pain in the arse.
nup.
install here
don't actually know about podcasts, never used em.
just read that again... it'll depend on yer work i think....
