james murphy seems quite fascistic against downloading mp3s/leaks. wouldn't surprise me if it's someones job role at DFA to go round and ask websites/blogs to remove links. cause they always seem to jump on any blogs who post unreleased dfa stuff pretty damn quick. sucks. DUDES I PROBLY WOULDA NEVER EVEN HEARD YOUR BANDS IF I HADN'T ILLEGALLY DOWNLOADED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE

it's his choice though. just like it's metallica's choice. and it's up to other people to choose to let people download things for free too. everyone gets to choose and wear the outcome. woohoo - liberal societies.

just thought i should take back some of my scoffs at this album because i had a really good listen to it today, and thought it had some really fine moments.

yep, james murphy is the new james hetfield. but i dunno why i was being so angsty about it 11 days ago. yr right - it's his tunes so he can do what he wants with them

meanwhile this record made me cry today. i'm so emo

ah yes. man, i feel like this is the album that lcd will win me over with. 'all my friends' is like an update on 'waiting for the man' - penned by the new east-coast emigré, now middle class, ever cosmopolitan.

it's really quite the sterling effort. been listening after i finished up my 2006 lists.

still... probably not the best of 2007. at least i hope there's better to come

nah, i like probably like five albums better - like you said, a couple of duds bring it down - but it's still a damn sight ahead of the last album

okay. the vocals on 'get innocuous' are seriously bad. it sounds like john farnham's backing singers for '(that's) freedom'. and is that bassline a direct sample of kraftwerk's 'we are the robots'?

I am totally convinced that Someone Great is the best song ever written.

It is a truly amazing album. I find it hard to pick a favourite song.

I agree it is amazing, but I still cannot listen to North American Scum and New York I Love You. Both make me cringe.
