Yes Please!!! I suspect we'll see Makeshift Swahili in this hear thread asap as well...
Some of my favourite bands appear through them.. Arab on Radar!! The Flying Luttenbachers, US Maple, Ruins etc.. and the one everyone forgets Ufo or Die!! What an outfit.
who forgot ufo or die?
eyes best project ever
I'm often always glad there's a lucas in our lives.. agreed completely, best thing eye ever touched.
US Maple, Cheer Accident, Gorge Trio, Colossamite, Dazzling Killmen, Brise-Glace, Made in Mexico. All winners.
Not an infallible label (Point Line Plane didn't grab me f'rinstance), but so much to recommend (!)
I must listen to my made in Mexico album again.. damn fine record.
MIM = Great record! I did an interview with Jeff Schnieder awhile back he spoke heaps on AOR and MIM and was an all round gentleman!
Still I can't get past Shakuhachi Suprise.
Out Soon:
The FLYING LUTTENBACHERS
Destroy All Music Revisited CD (GR85CD)
A new special edition of the greatest album from the "punk-jazz quintet" line-up (with Ken Vandermark, Dylan Posa, etc) remixed and remastered, with seven never before heard bonus cuts and a retrospective fold-out booklet. Swank.
Fuck Yes!!!!!!!
Fuck Yes!!
Made in Mexico, they are awesome.
From the email out:
"We've just received a limited restock of the KOENJIHYEKKEI "Live At Doors" DVD (imported from Japan - plays in all regions) and it along with The FLYING LUTTENBACHERS "Destroy All Music Revisited" CD, The CHINESE STARS "Listen To Your Left Brain" LP/CD and QUINTRON "Jamskate" vinyl EP are shipping to mailorder-ers now.
The next two releases, RUINS "Refusal Fossil (Special Edition)" CD & The CHINESE STARS "Turbo Mattress" Transparent CD, are up for pre-orders and will ship soon"
bump because they are awesome.
I might listen to some Cheer-Accident this arvo me thinks.
good choice Hellza, am listening to Koenjihyekkei and received their newsletter at the same time. Skin Graft head explosion!
I had a massive Arab On Radar week last week, and US Maple a few weeks prior. It's always Skin Graft time in hellza land.
