M+N Scrabble Tournaments happened annually until last year, it's time to bring it back. If there is anything a chat prides themselves on it's pointless knowledge and meaningless oneupmanship and hanging out in bars. This gives us the perfect opportunity to do all three.

I got quite good for one year, the year I won. A friend helped train me up and then I forgot everything and I'm less than middling. Plus I hate the fact that it's all about memorising obscure 2 letter words these days.

I've failed in the letters AND numbers components of this game.

But isn't a scrabble comp more about chat connection/boozing/giggling at funny words like nipple, than winning at a board game?

last tourny was 2010. I moved to bris that year so it stopped happening. plus we don't have nony in sydders any more to wrangle the syd comp. takes some organizing if any if you can be fucked.

There was no Melbourne tournament in 2010- it didn't seem to quite take off (read: No-one could be fucked organising).

May I say that, as winner of 3 of the 5 M&N Scrabble Tournaments, that a) I'm living in the wrong state this year and so not competing if this gets off the ground - which statistically raises your chances of winning by a significant amount! and b) nony and loadie's wrangling efforts in the past were awesome and very necessary and kudos to them.

i'm totally down for M+N AD&D.

I did Star Wars Trivial Pursuit at Old Bar once. It was heaps of fun, things got a bit heated towards the end. It almost came to blows.
