I love that whole album. That particular song fit the mood of the mix.
I'm guessing your mood was 'cute songs for cute people'.
pretty much.
but then i made this to send with it:
I like your mixes, onion. I do.
But, they're a bit on the long side. I like a good 14 track mix.
I like to fill a CD and give my listener their money's worth.
I'm thinking about making a second 'sad' themed mix like that one because there's so many awesome sad songs.
But by putting too much music onto one cd, you lessen the chances of them absorbing the whole thing.
It depends on the person, though, JS.
If I was making a powerpop compilation or something, there's no way I'd make it over an hour - that'd be like, 30 songs. Or a punk compilation. But for a general theme, I'll make a long mix and give some genre variety in there.
Who is this mix for?
None of your business. ;)
Do you have a crush?
And if I did? ;)

problem. or of the few things, a very incohesive mix.
mixtapes do not have to consist of 'obscure' material. if you think this, you are limiting yourself greatly. there are so many other options
oh no, but half of the fun of mixtapes is that you're finding out about new stuff, too. I don't want it to be some mash up of his existing library. I think I'm over thinking it too, might just find a theme and run with it.
nothing wrong with this if it makes them feel something. my personal favourite is 'will this make them want to take off their shirt and dance?'
also consider actual 'mash-ups', overdubbing etc. be creative
Here's mine
Just download this file of 100 fucking killer tunes and pick the ones you like:

dj - you got a tracklist for that mix dude?
labrish, do you wanna upload that mixtape of yours?
Eventually. I'll have to give it a once-over to see if it's ready for public consumption.
