Finally got to watch this for the first time.
Share some more Ricaine love.
Am I alone in thinking that Regret and Urbanity are the far superior albums in terms of the production?

hmm
Mainlanders as well. Thanks Rubber Records.
never bettered the first EP for me, which never bettered the live show
though all the albums are fine pieces of work
ricaine were the best. regret is a five star classic. urbanity rules. everything they did was brilliant.
Agreed on all points, but Clarity felt a bit let down and lacked some of the necessary grit due to Bob Weston's engineering. This is most evident when comparing the two versions of Mainlanders from the EP and the album. The EP sounds far superior with Matt Hills at the controls.
Teehee. Used to enjoy playing along to their songs. Cute band. Also enjoyed heckling them at live shows although I was by no means anywhere near as good at that as... others.
Regret… is one of my all time favourite records. Amazing band. Need to reunite.
Vocals at the end of Mainlanders are the best ever.
yeah.though i like clarity, it is probably their weakest in terms of sound.the version of pole vault on the midget split is way superior than the album version..

ha.
By far the best Ricaine show I ever saw was this one: Saturday October 14, 1995 with Spiderbait, Incursion, Ricaine, Salmonella, Tuff Muff, Miffy, Resistica
They'd had two of Brett's basses stolen the night before at the Espy or Prince of Wales and Brett was playing Janet's Ernie Ball music man bass, not having too much fun it would appear. They took the stage extremely pissed off and tore through their set with Neil stage diving during Run Run Run.
The second best show purely for laughs was in Sunbury with Neil screaming at a drunken crowd member for knocking the mic stand over.
this is making me uncomfortable. SWEET ASS PANEL VAN IN JUDY FENCE THO
Regret was a cornerstone for me in the late 90s
dudewolf is an inevitable consequence of loife!
don't forget the deer recording - sycamore trail. it's one of my top five or so recordings of all time..
look at dudewolf being all 19 years old
Regret is definitely the best for me, and the limited poster that came with it.
teehee
It's one of the top Θ recordings for me of all time!

Ricaine are on my radar this afternoon.
Codeword for 'erection'?
yes
Regret is inevitable would be my favourite Ricance album. Also a favourite time was when they played at meredith & brett invited an extremely drunk dude on stage to dance only to have him fall & knock over Neil guitar amp .. much to Neil effort to stop him ..then the bouncer toss this dude off stage smashing into the stage barrier
Was this dude Cowbell?
I'll take that as a yes.

Looks more like my mum.
I'm down the front in that clip at Meredith. Was that 94, 95 or 96? Can't remember. Was uber young. The year the power went off?
