We've been having weekly Friday afternoon beers in one of the offices, relatively tame, but managed to collect stacks of empties that all went into bins at the same time. Cleaner's kicked up a stink because apparently they can't touch glass, and administration came down for this massive party that was held in an office that created a thousand empty bottles of beer. In actual fact, was created over several months.
So they implemented a policy preventing people from gathering in work places to drink alcohol. Of course, with the odd occasion that higher ups need to entertain specific figures, a policy exception form exists, of which is accepted with no questions asked once submitted. So in the process of trying to ban these 'massive parties,' they've in fact legitimised it...all we have to do is liquid paper, re-date and photocopy said form.
Admin and OH&S simultaneously gone wrong.
