I booked midian for saturday and the session is from 11am to 12:30am....seems a tad excessive I get bored after 1/2 an hour.....and the pub gets real apealing after 2.

excessive? its not really.
we do normally do 1 x 12-5pm every week and its fine.
on Saturday we'll have some guitarists, vocalists and others to see and we have recording to do and songs to work on. we like to take a break and down some greasy food and beer too.
if your band is all together and you are just going in and rehearsing your set list, then yeah 1hr is all you need.
