Mess and Noise Golden Era

losgauchos  said about 1 year ago  or at  9:51AM on Monday, August 16 2010 in chat

For me it was 2007 when I had a job which required one hour of work each day and eight hours on here. I think I was on here almost as much as Bad Alex and Angelic for a bit.

When was your golden era?

electricsound  said about 1 year ago:

2002-3, before it got blocked at my old work

Hellzapoppin  said about 1 year ago:

Whenever Gobetween was still here.. they were golden moments.

losgauchos  said about 1 year ago:

Gobetween had some golden moments in 2007. Whatever happened to her? I hope she's doing ok now.

angelicIV  said about 1 year ago:

idiocy, she's still here.

OH SHOCK...

k2  said about 1 year ago:

Mine was circa Trashy Rumors death scandal. Also 2008-2009 have been pretty good. This place used to be filled with egomaniacs measuring their cocks all day long and fighting about it. I'm glad those days are over mostly.

Hellzapoppin  said about 1 year ago:

Didn't she hook up with Badalex and they took over the kitchen at The Courthouse and are in a deep fried love fest?

Or was that just a rumor..

__v  said about 1 year ago:

I had a really terrible burger at the Courthouse recently. It all begins to make sense.

angelicIV  said about 1 year ago:

...around the time of abbey road...or perhaps it was after the third album but It's hard with golden eras of the beatles there is a couple...//a few..I mean smoke the gear and get into the marahishi etc..theres a golden era

__v  said about 1 year ago:

Anyway, it was obviously the Destra years. The Airbag parallel universe crossover was also a high point.

angelicIV  said about 1 year ago:

losgauchos  said about 1 year ago:

haha, I remember trashy Rumours, whatever became of him? He died and then came back to life after posting his own obituary on here, or something. That was five years ago at least. Fark, I'm getting old.

Texaco  said about 1 year ago:

I liked the mono days. What was the name change in aid of?

angelicIV  said about 1 year ago:

I remember the day losgauchos was being a tool...some time late 07' maybe mid 07'..( a usual day) anyway I had to go to carlton so I went to carlton came back and was rambling about carlton. remember that LG? ahh carlton.

djbollocks  said about 1 year ago:

Back when I used to work in an office and spent my whole working day on M&N and back when outerspacecanoerace used to post here. I miss you man!

FrankieTeardrop  said about 1 year ago:

The Golden Era was yesterday when noneabove, Outraged and Jazzy were flirting with each other like three teenagers on heat.

angelicIV  said about 1 year ago:

the golden era started when everett true posted his first review

losgauchos  said about 1 year ago:

I don't remember anything about Carlton, but I remember flame wars with you Angelic fueled by intense workplace boredom. Golden times.

djbollocks  said about 1 year ago:

Each time angelic gets banned is the start of a new (albeit brief) golden era.

Actionralf  said about 1 year ago:

Trashy Rumours was a great era.

angelicIV  said about 1 year ago:

oh come on that carlton day was golden. I remember oh the wind and the sun the carlton streets I was rambling quite incoherantly..hmm I wonder if the thread exists???

Pre avatars was my golden age. It looked like any old site I might be using at work. Now I have to reduce the size of the screen to cut the avatars out, and try to disguise it as part of my work email...

Fix this shit, Jose.

sister  said about 1 year ago:

it was the highpoint spaceman1. Someone's probably got a copy somewhere but it did get taken down.

I too have my screen cut down. It does look like it could be part of anything when you remove the pictures.

There was a time around 03-05 when people on here all the time either got sprung and banned by work or looked like they were doing heaps of work typing away and they got payrises.
I was in the second camp.

Wipey's Annandale Rock n Roll Trivia days... so many great memories.

dude you should have been there for the vic on the park trivia. that was where wipey built the legend that he trades on today.

sister  said about 1 year ago:

what about when we lots of us sent $5 or $10 to rigid so he could buy wipey a plane ticket to Melbourne.
Wipey paid people back in drawings. I never got mine.

The flamewars are doused pretty quickly now. Danny used to let 'em run for a while which was cool. That Electric Flu and Dino mentalism was kinda entertaining in a car crash kinda way.
