Fake Tan are three dudes from Radelaide influenced by girls and fuzzy catchy lo fi surf pop sounds.
Assassins 88 (ACT) combine an epic brand of low-fi noise pop with the rawness of Jay Reatard.
Joining them on the night are insta-faves Acid Casualty who are about to unleash a new rekid and Constant Mongrel and their stiffie inducing beastie garage.

because from where I was standing they sounded to me like every other shit low fi band that are the ''it'' sound. the fact that wavves are the feature album on triple gay at the moment is proof enough. In my opinion the only truly original band on the night were Acid Casualty full stop.
also if you want to listen to a decent Canberra band listen to the fighting league far more original and more talented.

pretty fucking.. rich words coming from a band who had a cry when their drum skin got a little dent and made assasins give them 20 bucks... even though they drove 8 hours from canberra and you probly didnt even pay to get on the tram. for a so called 'punk' band to be this uptight doesnt really make sence and it is a pretty dog move to play a show with a band and then turn around and talk shit on them on an internet forum.
your view on assasins to me could also be applied to your own music..... not caring a shit about keeping in tune is pretty obscure but pretty overdone you really just sound like a less interesting young and restless except there singer could sing.

i didnt have an issue with your music, it wasn't my cup of tea but it definitely wasnt bad. i could see how some people would enjoy it. we had absolutely no idea who you were when we agreed to do the show. we played because fake tan asked us and one of them is the little brother of our friend from adelaide. if you think our music is terrible, then you should've told tim and gotten some other band to play. we wouldn't have cared.
is young and restless the only band you know with a female in it? because thats the only similarity. if you didnt listen to stock standard male rock you would know exactly who we're referencing. we never claimed to a 'punk' band or obscure.
i don't think its unreasonable to ask for money when someone damages equipment which they have borrowed. if you are going to beat the shit out of someone else's drum kit, then face the consequences. don't be pissed off because i didnt let you walk all over me. if you drove 8 hours, why didn't you bring your own drumkit? i dont mind letting people use my gear, it happens all the time but most people have manners. tim asked us if you could borrow our gear and he's a nice guy who i have no problems helping out. i'm not uptight but ive been playing in bands for a while and i've learnt not to let interstated male rock bands treat me like shit just because im a young girl with high pitched voice.
also, why bother lying about not being in the band when you obviously are? how else could you know about the drum skin? if you have an issue with me, why didnt you contact us directly instead of going on mess and noise and bitching about it? ill transfer that measley 20 back to you if you want it. you should've said something about it on the night.

i really dont play in assassins, they are friends of mine and told me about the drum skin thing when i asked how there show went.
a 50 dollar drum skin, which sounded like it wouldnt of had its sound altered or even needed to have been replaced, does not really warrant a 20 dollar fine.
It is obvious that you are trying to save your skin by saying you dont care about the money now, but apparently at the time you demanded that something must be done about it.

You are completly entitled to your own opinion and taste. My problem was that you made a fairly broad yet mean statement on a page which, could influence peoples opinion of a band before they have even listened to them. Why spread hate on a band trying there best to do there thing on a forum which should be used to promote local bands, not pull the rug from under there feet.
