Has anyone noticed that their ''biggest'' headlining act, Dallas Frasca doesn't even have it on her website but the Winnie ''Yawning, boring as bat shit'', coopers have it on theirs - it's their only gig to be fair so I really do hope it goes ahead.

It's been a long and strange journey since I set up BAM - Banking All Mathieson - and I'd like to thank my loyal minions, especially those who did such a fine job of suggesting a veneer of public trustworthiness and enthusiasm even as the Satanic calendar counted down to the 26/8/10 turning point and the talons of our winged, nefarious plot closed upon the scrawny neck of Australia's endless enthusiasm for Anachist Duck and large outdoor spaces.

To all those who bought tickets to BAM and were looking forward to the new and different type of festival we were trying to create–
I looked forward to this as a case study on how not to run a music fest. key learning (amongst many) = when starting a music fest first priority is musicians – getting the line-up right and taking them seriously – not as free labour (only small ‘indie’ bands would be prepared to do so) to flog tickets. agree?

thank-you for your sign of commitment to the festival, and we are sorry that there weren’t more people like you. We hope that you will continue to be supportive of the local music industry in the future.
I guess there was also an email to the musicians who were on the bill (?), as there’s no apology to them in this.

PS I am saddened that this fest was cancelled – was looking forward to seeing a locust storm hit yuphippies.
