CIRCLE PIT
NAKED ON THE VAGUE
BED WETTIN' BAD BOYS
DOMINIC TALARICO

SUNDAY AUGUST 1.
THE SANDRINGHAM HOTEL.
387 KING ST, NEWTOWN.
7PM / $10.

The United State of America, a great country that has given the world the gifts of Baseball, Blue Oyster Cult, break-dancing, Coke-a-Cola, “freedom”, the atom bomb and Hardcore Punk. Finally our great southern land gets to return the gift with Circle Pit embarking on their maiden tour of the USA later this year. Come show your support, say g’bye and raise some much needed funds for Circle Pits USA tour Sunday August 1st at the Sandringham Hotel.

Supports acts are the mutant psychedelic punk of NAKED ON THE VAGUE, the no-frills everyman’s rawk of BED WETTIN’ BAD BOYS and the provoking yet highly danceable minimal/maximal disco of DOMINIC TALARICO. Also playing tunes before, after and between the acts is DJ OWEN PENGLIS.

P.S. If you missed out the first time around Circle Pit's debut 7'' (RIP001: Total Waste / Everybody Left) has been repressed and will is being launched at this show. Each record has a unique hand drawn cover.

NOTE: This show is an early start/early finish so don't dilly-dally!

Performance of the Dominic Guy is cringeworthy.

sticks  said about 1 year ago:

hello nic,
how does one get a hand drawn 7 if they ain't in sydders?

nic.rulz  said about 1 year ago:

Hi Sticks,
Once I've got a decent amount in my possession I'll offer them for mail order.

sticks  said about 1 year ago:

sik!

unvisible  said about 1 year ago:

We'll know Mess+Noise is officially dead when there's a thread about Circle Pit that doesn't have at least one bafflingly hostile comment that makes you shake your head, rub your eyes, and call your parents just to tell them that you love them.

Hellzapoppin  said about 1 year ago:

Sorry I was late...

So why the fuck would this super band of the miscreant heroes require a fundraiser? Couldn't they just fucking give up the smack for a few weeks and use the endless shit that will fall from there orifices to make a plateau of fag art in the with some title like Maraschino Cumdrops.

Will they be safe in the U.S.A, I mean shit Jack's dress sense is so provocative I'll be amazed if the air hostess check in chick doesn't start pounding the living fuck out of him whilst he slants into a corner awaiting departure.

.... is that better?

nic.rulz  said about 1 year ago:

''use the endless shit that will fall from there orifices to make a plateau of fag art in the with some title like Maraschino Cumdrops''

kelele  said about 1 year ago:

Why do they keep including Dominic talarico on the lineup? He's really really terrible but obviously gives great head.

TransientRandom  said about 1 year ago:

Wow, well once again I'm gobsmacked. I hope the fundraiser goes really well. Bummed I can't make it.

nic.rulz  said about 1 year ago:

I suggested putting Dom on the line-up, I'm usually not a fan of the backing track heavy type performance but I reckon he's great. The ''ozzie'' accent with lyrical content about being gay, suburbia etc is such an awesome/weird contrast. His lyrics are really confronting, funny and actually about something rather than some vague poetic imagery. I reckon they'd suit a No Trend or Feedtime style band, if I had a band in that style I would definitely do a Dominic Talarico cover.

kelele  said about 1 year ago:

Yes those lyrics about being ''legit'' are so Orstrayan and hard hitting.

Heinrich  said about 1 year ago:

Was that set indicative of Naked on the Vague live show generally? I love the new record, but I was really disappointed with them last night. It seemed to really lack the aggression of the record.

happycow  said about 1 year ago:

Come visit melb for true radical miracle Heinrich, know you want to

Heinrich  said about 1 year ago:

I would love to happycow, god knows i want to see that band more than just about anyone, but I can only afford one Melbourne jaunt this year and I have already committed to coming down for Dead Meadow/Boredoms. Besides, I'm not discharged from hospital until the 20th!

(I regularly search for your posts. I feel it keeps me in touch with the the world of Shea.)
