It truely is a sight and sound to behold 50,000+ Collingwood fans go from bad winners to sore losers within 1 qtr of football. I have had the pleasure of witnessing this on at least 2 occasions in previous years.

pies fans, to a far higher percentage, would come out as massive bogans. it's purely due to the area from which their supporter base grew from (the slums of Collingwood from the turn of the century) and the handing down over the past 3-4 generations of not only team support, but also other bogan traits (skunk hair, excessive tracksuit wearing, contempt for hygiene and elocution).

I've always just tried to ignore the element of our supporters that give us the bad rap. I know they are there but yesterday probably tipped me over the edge. Sat near a group of the worst 'supporters' I've ever had the mis-pleasure of witnessing. One in particular just screaming at the Geelong supporters at any opportunity, swearing at them, baiting them and basically just being a complete cunt. Embarrassing beyond belief. Then walked out the ground to see pies supporters in an all in brawl against each other. Truly a terrible day.

And can I just add, when you say 'the lot of you' I know it's great for you that we lost and all, but there are more of us than not who are decent folk who just love the footy and are respectful of those around us. Ok, that's it for now, I think I need to just let it go for a bit. Losing these things just keep killing me inside a little bit at a time...

every sport has the villainous team (Man U, Manly, Yankees, etc), it so happens that the one you were born into supporting (presumably) is AFL's hated team.
