hmm, dunno about reformations, guess i'd go see them though... LOVED this band.

yeah mate, i'm always suspicous but MIDGET are a good example of it being done 'right'. they still fucking rule it...and so, i expect the same with AOR.
below is something i found on a shit website:

Providence Rhode Island’s experimental-punk gods Arab on Radar have reunited. According to Punknews Justin Pearson, founder of Three One G records and long time friend of the band, made a post on his facebook page confirming rumors that the band was reforming and will be touring in the summer.

Dates for two Canadian performances have already been announced on Toronto’s DD/MM/YYYY’s myspace, who will be accompanying Arab on Radar on their Canadian dates. August 6th Montreal show’s information has yet to be released but Arab on Radar tickets are already available for the band’s Toronto performance which is scheduled on August 7th at The Garrison.

Arab on Radar disbanded in 2002 after numerous releases and years of touring. Members of Arab on Radar have gone on to form The Chinese Stars, Made in Mexico, and Athletic Automaton. In 2008 a DVD entitled Sunshine for Shady People showcasing previously unreleased Arab on Radar footage along with a documentary about the band.

There is no mention of the reunion being a precursor to new Arab on Radar material — but one can only hope.

Holy Fuck, that is the best thing I've heard all day! And just when I'm trying to convince my band mates we need to cover #1 9-12-98 (Nice Girls don't soak the saddle).

Blah, from Skin Graft Records:

Arab on Radar regrets to inform everybody that they are canceling their West Coast Tour and their show in Jamaica Plain, MA due to personal reasons. They apologize to their fans for the inconvenience that this might cause. Thanks to everybody for all of their support.*

I had conversations with some of the guys a few hours before their message went live... and while our conversations were private, I will say that everyone in the band is in good health (no life-threatening accidents or anything like that), but they all expressed major disappointment and sadness at canceling these shows. I'm in contact with them and when I have more news to share, I will share it - but for now, lets just leave it at that.
