Great album. Shit cover.

Charles Dumar  said about 1 year ago:

I don't mind the cover.

Charles Dumar  said about 1 year ago:

I'm just being difficult.

Ghostface  said about 1 year ago:

standard windows font. grrrr

Charles Dumar  said about 1 year ago:

Seriously though, that cover is the greatest.

JRB  said about 1 year ago:

I think the cover's ace.

Is it not cool to use fonts that come with computers?

Cooper black isn't standard is it? I like the cover but black keys zzzzz

Charles Dumar  said about 1 year ago:

I can't stop thinking about that cover and how much I love it.

And I like the Black Keys.

Thrummmer  said about 1 year ago:

These guys rule. Hard.

charly  said about 1 year ago:

I like the cover. And can't wait to hear the album. There's my two cents.

Jackbratt  said about 1 year ago:

I think the cover is fantastic. The first single ''Tighten up'' has been in my head all week.

Thrummmer  said about 1 year ago:

I'm buying this tonight. Anyone seen it on vinyl anywheres in melbz?

littlesmoke  said about 1 year ago:

Halfway through my first listen now...it's awesome, as usual.

littlesmoke  said about 1 year ago:

I've changed my mind...it's not awesome.... it's better than that.

Thrummmer  said about 1 year ago:

Am so loving this album. 10 cent pistol, and Howlin' for You, Everlasting Light...great songs

Ubu  said about 1 year ago:

the band, album, and album cover is balls.

unlike this record.

hw

tangy_zizzle  said about 1 year ago:

Why is the album balls? Mind you, I haven't heard it yet.

Thrummmer  said about 1 year ago:

Means its got the balls that he don't.

Ubu  said about 1 year ago:

just more bland blues rock without any grit...y'know the stuff they've been specialising in for the last 9 years or so. but hey, each to their own, i'm just pissy cause they ripped off the howling wolf cover. .

unvisible  said about 1 year ago:

Listening to the Black Keys has always felt to me like getting repeatedly jabbed in the eardrum with a rolled-up copy of Mojo magazine.

littlesmoke  said about 1 year ago:

When I listen through an ipod...there's no vocal lines. I was thinking ''gee, long intro to this song'' & then it ended.

hyperfuzz  said about 1 year ago:

i listened to the first half in the car... from listening to that, it's great. best record they've put out since rubber factory. fuzztones are pretty great, and the keys, synths and claps are well done.

bayoushoplifter  said about 1 year ago:

are these guys blacks?

hyperfuzz  said about 1 year ago:

this album is as awesome as this latest troll is interesting

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

so goodly.

bayoushoplifter  said about 1 year ago:

I don't know much black music, Ed Green is good i guess

imfuckenpinnedbro  said about 1 year ago:

who said keys? heh heh heh/

pandad  said about 1 year ago:

Does anyone know who is playing in their touring band these days? I saw them on Letterman and one of them looked familiar.. the bassist.. hmm

littlesmoke  said about 1 year ago:

I've only ever seen the two of them on stage

pandad  said about 1 year ago:

Video footage. Apparently on Jimmy Fallon's show tonight so I can get another look at this guy

josejones  said about 1 year ago:

sounds like gnarls barkley

pandad  said about 1 year ago:

That's true, they do a bit. He looks like this French person I once knew, but it wouldn't make sense him playing with him. Well he was a musician, but yeah, weird.

Ash-showoff  said about 1 year ago:

This LP f(*&ing rules!

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

indeed. absolutely loving it.

Ash-showoff  said about 1 year ago:

Yeah, it's super solid.

Man, the dude has been going through so serious babe troubles.

OAAD  said about 1 year ago:

The progression on this album is really impressive. These guys are not locked in some never-changing retro world, but, rather, are exploring a much funkier, southern soul sound this time round. I'm a big fan...

rigid  said about 1 year ago:

blues. important.

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

recorded at muscle shoals, wasn't it?

OAAD  said about 1 year ago:

Indeed... and you can hear it

arbitrary_user  said about 1 year ago:

I know this is a long shot, but I'm after 2 tickets for their sold out show at the Enmore. If anyone has some tickets to offload, I'm your man.

JRB  said about 1 year ago:

FUUUCK!

BunkerSpreckels  said about 1 year ago:

Big Day Out replacement:

On a positive note, Big Day Out promoters are pleased to announce the inclusion of the most excellent Paul Dempsey who is reforming his band especially for these Australian shows.

littlesmoke  said about 1 year ago:

bloody good thing I don't have a BDO ticket then...I was regretting missing out on The Black Keys!

austerity  said about 1 year ago:

Now that they're not playing BDO, I'm only going to see 2 bands and leave... THANK YOU BLACK KEYS!!!!

austerity  said about 1 year ago:

Oh and how is that whiny fuckstain Paul Dempsey a suitable replacement?

strangecousin  said about 3 months ago:

whatwhat  said about 1 month ago:

Loving the new album.

JRB  said 24 days ago:

Dan to produce DR John's new LP

I'm excited. Are you excited?

whatwhat  said 24 days ago:

it'd be betterer if danger mouse was producing it, with the black keys playing on it.
