she's a great musician...but very very loose...
i love ze peej. she is so friggin amazing. and i say 'friggin', coz that's what happens when i listen to her.
moans, sighs and groans softly
.but very very loose.
what do you mean thumb?
she is not bound by technical proficiency?
juice, i mean give her a couple of red wines and she'll fuck the nearest farmer near where she lives. well maybe not farmer, but you know what i mean.
that's a bad thing?
tried to pick her up at an airport once. true story, failed miserably.
were you out of roheys?
i reckon i've got a shot with ze peej...
"lick my legs, i'm on fire, lick my legs, i'm desire..."
i mean give her a couple of red wines and she'll fuck the nearest farmer near where she lives. well maybe not farmer
I find it interesting that this is the case with lots of male musicians through out history, but it only rates a mention (within the first 7 posts of a thread) when it's a chick. Gotta love those age-old double standards.
the adults covered 'rid of me' last night. was pretty interesting.
i'd say the same thing about any male musician so dont take the moral high ground with me you presumptuous fuck.
So where have you said it on other threads?
yeah, just like I thought.
i dont think i've commented on any other threads involving any male artist in particular. in fact i haven't. i just started a thread about richard wagner but i dont know anything about him. so i could hardly call him a slut.
so fuck you again for being SO PREDICTABLE.
who's taking the moral high ground? thumb you're the one making value judgements based on a perceived notion of sexual practises.

what a shithouse review! waste of time
http://www.theage.com.au/entertainment/music/pj-harvey-20120116-1q2z8.html
That is a particularly shithouse review, I agree. So much awkward language, so many spurious connections, with a healthy reliance on the bleeding obvious for good measure.
''Switching to guitar, Polly Jean Harvey displayed enormous ease with an instrument that first brought her to public attention''. How unusual, you mean she - an established, well known, well paid musician - can actually play her guitar?
''...the dark, sometimes disturbing lyrical content was almost hidden as she wove a spell with her voice''. Um, does this mean you couldn't hear the words clearly?
''...the 42-year-old blended with the trio seamlessly...''. What, they 'blended' enough to sound like a band? And that's a surprise why, exactly?
'' 'You're very cool!' cried out one voice from the audience. Indeed, PJ Harvey is very cool...'' Sheesh, I give up. So should the reviewer. Is this really the standard of music criticism in the mainstream press these days? No wonder I've stopped reading it.
tells you very little about the actual performance as well
You're right, that's probably because the reviewer doesn't know her music at all. It reads like he's got all the facts he needs from Wikipedia.
Mentioning such irrelevant shit as Grammy nominations in the first sentence is a dead give away the reviewer has no taste and little idea about the artist he is reviewing.
the worstening...
pfft that is pretty lame. of all the things you could say about such a great show in just 200 words...
like, i lost count of how many times my eyes welled up and i had goosebumps...
think that review was bad?
this is how it opens...
''I, like many of other males have been introduced to PJ Harvey by my partner. And after just two minutes of being at the concert hall, a guy and his wife pick up on our West Country English dulcet tones.
We talk about her music, and how although we as men are not massive fans, we both have great respect for her and her song writing.
After seeing PJ Harvey perform at festivals, I know this lass can hold her own with the boys. For research you only have to look at songs from the Desert sessions where she performs with the likes Mark Lanegan, and Josh Homme.''
here ya go, link here
That review is not only moronic it is borderline offensive: ''I know this lass can hold her own with the boys''. Jesus!
Jesus Christ that's bad. So only once she'd played with the boys did she prove she could rock? Is this the first time this douche has ever listened to a female artist?
Miranda Devine? Or maybe you mean 'divine' you fucking retard.
just plain awful
this one that NiteShok linked to at the Vine is decent enough, actually seems like the writer actually went to the show at least
http://www.thevine.com.au/music/live-reviews/
Saw her on SAt in Hobart. AWESOME. no seating, standing which was good to be able to sway to but at the same time it sorta sucked not being seated as it wasn't a rock gig. Apparently fuckheads at the back kept talking throughout the show. dicks. I was in front of her again (but three people back).
I also met her just before she was about to hop in the car to get to the airport! she was giving mick harvey and john parrish hugs goodbye. amanda palmer was also hanging around as well around the same time. i got to tell her how much i enjoued the shows and she thanked me. what a sweetheart.
That's awesome nexus. I met her and Mick Harvey & John Parish the day after the Sydney show at the airport (No I didn't go there looking for them. I work there) and the same I told them the show was fantastic. Polly came across as pretty shy. I pretty much talked (briefly) to Mick who I have met a few times before that. Was still pretty cool and YES what a performance...
Yeah I think it was more of a sitdown performance too. I really loved that there was no support act just a focused performance and early finish. Excellent stuff.
