see em again until you get an opinion, then let us know.
good call!
ok, well there were certain things i liked about them (their slower shoegaze kinda songs), and certain things i couldn't stand (image + weird metal stuff).
the song up on their myspace is alright, heard em on JJJ but didn't realise it was the same band..
are they on drugs? they looked pretty out of it both times.
One of the most appalling bands I have ever had the displeasure of being subjected to. No exaggeration.
Recent facebook incidents indicate it is NOT ok to dislike this band.
I reckon they're orright.
Care to elaborate, TransRan?
i'm outta the loop. details?
people who like stuff i like like Circle Pit, and people who do not do not. This is good. I like Circle Pit, very much.
Someone got told off for expressing a negative opinion is what I heard. Not by the band, just by a punter. I didn't even see it, I just heard about it. I'm keeping on the safe side with unerring positivity toward everything! I really do like circle pit though!
These dudes have variously been in When Yr Dead, Yr Dead Forever, and Kiosk yeah?
Emperor's New Clothes. Sure, it's fun, and it's PUNK for young kids to get wasted, and be shit, and not have songs, and not give a fuck, and - y'know, like - fuck the system, man.
But when every musical project they're associated with is based on the same set of ideals (or lack thereof), I'm left wondering - where's the talent? Attitude/image does not equal talent. Dudes would be better off art directing for American Apparel or Vice. They'd at least make more money.
And opinions like mine play into their hands, because ''I just don't get it'', and they wouldn't care if I did anyway. But for mine, that simply self-defeating.
I liked the old line up with Gary & Nic heaps. I've yet to see the new one but not a huge fan of the recordings I've heard.
Feel free to tell me off, by the way. I have two heads and they can both handle it.
they look and kinda sound like royal trux. i'd rather just listen to royal trux records
NOT THEY DO NOT. Royal Trux are great. Circle Pit are not. The end.
Zaphod sux man no taste probably wears the wrong pants go eat a sandwich or some other food if you dont like music maybe some chips or biscuits or a bit of toast.
NOM OM OM!
If food be the music of taste, nom om!
bring back Kiosk!!!
Kiosk, on the other hand had the pleasure (i'm sure) of supporting RTX on their tour here about 3-4yrs ago!
I haven't seen them live in a long long time but the RIP Society 7'' is undeniably a fucking great record. Looking forward to the upcoming album.
i saw them once and walked out after two songs. but then i do that to most bands.

Well, they came to Hobart and played The Brisbane. And y'know what? MIGHTY. Everyone who doesn't get this act - you're wrong. Really, you are totally wrong. The Royal Trux call - yeah but nah. There's a fair dollop of New York Dolls here, and a whole lot of winking cynicism and sly fun. Hobart had a good time with them, and I did as well, I drank their beer and vodka, I danced to crap and talked utter shit for hours. They were funny as fuck and silly as a wheel. They were almost as awesome as Always asking where the local beats where, but they just wanted weed. How they managed to not find weed in Hobart now - it's time of year when you cannot move for people selling bags - is beyond me, but they are from Sydney and they do have big fringes. I seriously enjoyed this act, and hope they come to Hobart again very soon.
Top band.
You don't like 'em?
You're fired from music. Here's your fucking letter of resignation. Sign the fucking thing and maintain some dignity.
You're my hero.
Looking forward to playing with them...
If you don't like circle pit, you don't like rock n roll and you are a sad dweeb
ABSOLUTIST ROCK AND ROLL!
I don't get it. I'm from Hobart.

is that jack and angie in the top right ad, this is the only place that i've seen it i think, advertise locally
crap, when i clicked back it's not there, something like indie ads
Nah, not them.
How do these guys get away with having a naked punk with a hard on up on their myspace page? I got warned about a offensive picture on my old myspace that was no where near this indecent.
Wow...how DID they.
I'm impressed.
Hey guys, check out this hilarial piece of online content! Gig
Gig!
so massive they're now doing secret shows.
They kind of remind of Dream Syndicate's take on the Velvet Underground.
Also, I keep hearing the Mekon's ''Where Were You?'' in ''Another Trick''.
best song ever
if crow n that weren't on tonight i'd go see them. the album isn't bad
Bump for tonight. Show starts at 6pm. $10. Come!
