DAGGAFOOZLEWAZZLEWOOZLE!
blake just exploded
DAZZLES!
yeah?
i like your avatar dazzles. can you get them here?
I can't wait for this. just thought you should know.
what is it?
george martin and his son have remixed a selection of beatles songs for cirque du soileil. or something.
oh shit..I dunno..
spose I'd have to hear it..
sb, if you really can't wait, there's a link to mp3s somewhere here.
thanks, but not good enough, need a hard copy and right listening environment
i'm listening to it stream from www.thebeatles.com
its getting quite annoying. i am so familiar with the songs that every time it departs from where i expect the song to go i find it quite jarring.
The idea of it is fucking horrible! Haven't heard it though, but fuck.... cirque du soileil? First thing that comes to my mind is a Mr Bungle/Primus kind of beatles carnival mash up. Sure, probably not what it is, but that alone is enough to make me shit bagels.
gets a good review by Shedden in today's Australian
it's interesting....it would have been better if they'd have mashed it up more...it sometimes is a tad stars on 45....but there are some cool moments.
ah yes....the perrenial Betales release just prior to Xmas.....whats next? Elvis perhaps?
I'd only buy this if all the money went to Ringo.
And if I was a hardcore Beatles fan, i'd be insulted that this is being promo'ed as a 'new' album!
I tried to d/l a torrent of this on the weekend, but it fucked out for some reason.
Vaguely interested, but not so I'd want to spend any money on it...

I'm gonna buy it purely for the new version of "While My Guitar gently weeps"
My fav. Beatles song. When Harrison died, they played it over a montage of his life and i cried. Like a sook.
Its the acoustic WHile My Guitar... demo from Anthology 3, with some new strings behind it.
Ok. Im totally confused. I didnt think there was any such thing as an actual "DVD Audio player". Dad just has a standard Pioneer DVD player. He usually plays all his regular CDs through it..
The TV has "Surround Sound" built into it, but we dont have separate speakers. Am I making any sense? Still not sure whether to go the cheap or more expensive album.

hey, christmas grinch, don't ruin it for me. To me it sounded all new... and thats what I'm going with.
Its remastered so it does sound brilliant... can't lose.
Yes there are DVD-A players.
Minnie - cheap one for you.
Unless you specifically have a 5-speaker surround audio system with Dolby DTS decoding, the extra disc is useless to you.
Your TV's "sourround" system is just sound processing to give a weird audio effect. Its still 2 speakers in front of you, not 5 speakers around you.
The introduction of the DVD-Audio format required some kind of backward compatibility with existing DVD-Video players. To address this, most DVD-Audio discs contain, at a minimum, a Dolby Digital 5.1-channel audio track on the disc[3] (which can be downmixed to two channels for listeners with no surround sound setup). Some discs also include a native Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo, and even a DTS 96/24 5.1-channel, audio track[4]. A criticism of DVD-Audio and SACD is that both require the listener to be near a home stereo system as one cannot rip either format to digital audio players. As of 2006, very few car stereos are capable of playing DVD-Audio discs.[2]
Remember, DVD = Digital Versatile Disc.
Its just a blank disc with stuff on it. That stuff can be data, audio, or video.
Most people say "DVD" meaning "DVD-Video."
The DVD in the Love extra edition contains loads of audi stuff. Without the right extra equipment you can't get anything out of it.
Okie dokes. Thanks, SheikYerbouti! That means I can afford to buy him The White Album as well then.
Bloody hell. How complex is all that. Im scared off surround sound forever.
the guy on the audio says "Welcome to the podcast about the new album from the beatles..."
as if that's normal.
the best bits off this album is 'being for the benefit of mr kite' with she's so heavy playing with it....
and within you without you with tomorrow never knows drums.
awesome.
Also, Octopus's garden over goodnight is great.
me and my old man just went all sooky to 'something' and 'while my guitar gently weeps'.
I got the DVD for Dad and played it today.. I love it.
My fave songs are the ones that George Harrison sings, but Ive always been biased.
can u get this on vinyl?
Anyone ever been to the live show?
I have. I know it sounds really sappy, but I even cried in it - in one bit - such was the overwhelming and incredibly successful combination of music, visuals (live and pre-recorded) and just general atmospherics. Was bloody great.
Part of the fun is also seeing it in Vegas rubbing shoulders with Mr and Mrs Joe American who make up 75% of the audience (the other 25 I reckon are internationals).
Nice! I'm pretty pumped for it, to be honest.
you won't believe the amount of 'Love' and Beatles merch they've got either...99% of it crap you wouldn't be seen dead with, but 1% that's awesome but also hideously exxy.
I'm ignoring the fact that you're going to this binary. It's for the best this way.
Sorry, Zaph. I'll buy you a hat.
I watched the making of on the plane.
All the rest the the beatles and the widows were there discuss the production with the French. And George Martin & son were sitting side by side in frontof the panel.
The event looks very beautiful and emotional.
