Description:
Once there was a band form Brisbane. They came down to Melbourne from time to time. Pounding drum, driving bass, stinging guitar and vocals wrenched from the lungs of a burnt-out husk of a man. There are some fairly obvious reference points for Scul Hazzards, the ratbag trio of former Brisbane natives, formerly residing in the UK. The thing is, they've got the chops to pull it off. Their sojourn overseas has seen them harden up, drop the major-chord melodies, and throw down like ice-addled street fiends. And if that's not enough, Pavement will be DJing in the front bar. Yeah, that's your Saturday night right there. - LT
