it was only fairly recently that you could find a decent range of it (beyond the gruesome Strongbow stuff).
It's also cheaper than drinking vodka (usually).
It's also generally more alcoholic than beer. Think about THAT. Or don't.
At times I like cider, at times I hate cider. Last December, I walked into a bar and saw cider, ordered it and I am now in the upswing of the cider cycle.
It'll take getting really plastered to enter the downswing and swear off for another 10 years.

i've always liked cider but didn't drink it all that much but now that it's everywhere, including on tap at heaps of places, i do find myself drinking it way more and generally preferring it to beer. so yes, i am a sheep being manipulated by the man....

I was drinking cider years ago and getting laughed at. Now everyone's jumped on the bandwagon.
But ultimately, it's super trendy right now and that explains why so many people are drinking it.

i had never tried it before moving to melbourne. find it's a good summer drink, don't get hangovers from drinking it, cheap at the local bottle store. what's wrong with that? it's just a fucking drink you know?

About ten years ago a friend introduced me to Scrumpys on tap at a pub we used to frequent in Perth, I've been a cider fan ever since.
But I always loved sparkling apple juice as a child, so it made sense that as an adult I would enjoy the alcoholic version of that.
i drank way to much bulmers last night... and have a evil hangover.... i am hoping steak will fix... might steer clear of cider for a bit.. its lingering effects are a menace.
it tastes like crap.
