Some friends and I are starting a knitting and crocheting evening at The Old Bar on Monday evenings called Work in Progress. Everyone is welcome, you can bring your own knitting, or there will be some needles and wool available at the bar if you don't have your own project or can't be bothered bringing it in. There'll be people there who can help with knitting problems or if you'd like to learn new things.
It goes from 6-8pm, and it's free.

Will LiLi be knitting?
should knit some stubby holders.
I heartily endorse this product and/or event.
is sewing included?
LiLi will be pouring the drinks behind the bar.. I think we could get him on board though. Surely he'd be interested in knitting a VB stubby holder? Block you'd be interested in that too wouldn't you?
Sewing is welcomed also.
I liked my name better.
sigh
And what was that, Modi?
The crotchety knitwits.
Yeah I liked it too.. you can call it that if you want. Maybe it could be Work in Progress brought to you by Crotchety Knitwits.
You don't care what we call you, as long as we call. Right?
Sorry, I'm more of a tinkery, woodworky, greasy fingery kinda guy. I used my mum's sewing machine once, and was banned forever.
That's right modi. I have a feeling that my input to the group might be more on the chatting side than the production side - you're always welcome to join in on that.. and eminently qualified one would think!
Does a Knitting Nancy count?
Sure. finger knitting is also welcome.
I think I'm going to make a new scarf.
good idea, getting ready for winter
Thanks singa - you want me to knit you one?
can i pick a colour
do you have sewing machines I can use?
It's a craft night not a sweatshop ben! Yes of course you can pick a colour sing.
sweatshop huh?! there's an idea...
who here is good at sewing?
