I stopped watching it since mid season 3. Is it still good?
Nah, it's getting a bit ridiculous. But I still enjoy it.
This is the last season. It will be interesting to see how much is explained.
Gonna fucking kill them if everything is just a dream. ha.
I just downloaded the 1st episode of it. 2nd should be up soon
Gah. the 2nd is in a file with the first so I have download it again!
I find this show equally infuriating and captivating.
I must find out what happens!
I skipped season 5 after getting quite mad at the season 4 finale.
Can someone give me brief synopsis of season 5 so I can go back to watching Lost? I slightly miss it.
there's a lot of time travel stuff- it's probably the weakest season- depending on what you're into. I really enjoyed the character development in previous seasons. Season 5 is all about plot- still good though. Can't wait for season 6- starts next Wednesday!
downloading now. 2 hrs to go.... So excited!
WHAT. THE. FUCK?
ha. which bit?
What?
All of it. My head hurts...
yeah. it was good though. have lots of theories/thoughts already...
Yeah, it is the best show ever. Me and mrs Ned are pretty obsesed with it. Have watched it over and over.
Great start to the season, i've given up trying to predict what's gonna happen though cause I'm never ever close to getting it right!
For those who don't download, 7Two starts screening it next Wednesday.
Booyah! Thanks man.
What a weird first two episodes!
7Two? WFT? Does everyone live in the future these days? When is it on REAL telly?
no such thing as real tv any more kez!
wed 8.30pm, 2 hours plus 1 hour recap.
can't be bothered downloading it. until 7 starts putting it on at midnight.
mathieson, surely you can get us copies?

The writers have admitted that there's a few things that weren't cleared up, but they ran out of time to address everything.
As it was it felt more and mroe rushed towards the end; but it was always going to be that way. At least it didn't just stop like Deadwood.
There'll apparently be some more scenes included on the DVD that will wrap up a few more things.
Jorge Garcia (Hurley) on the epilogue DVD, to E via Movieline:
“It will address some of the issues, like the food drops, and it will deal with what happened on the island after Hurley took over and how he handled things,” Garcia reveals of the DVD bonus feature he shot. “It will give you a taste of what took place after Hurley took over as the new number one. There’s a little epilogue thing going on with the DVD.”
Inside sources also told me that Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) will be shown in the bonus material. “We’ll find out what happens to Walt,” says the insider. But when asked who else he worked with, Jorge replied coyly: “There are other people in it, but I’m not going to tell you who.”
And just when I had made peace with the fact that the ending wasn't so good, they pull this shit and I get excited all over again.
It's a bit of a cheat though...
Oh come on LOST tragics!
It's just a stupid show and it's over... it was fun, yes it was mysterious, but there's no well thought out overarching mythology here!
...y'know, the sobering reality is the initial idea for the creation of this show was some manager at ABC said ''hey that Tom Hanks movie Castaway and this reality tv show Survivor is really popular now... people are luvin' this island shit right now! Somebody write me a god damn show, a drama based around castaways!''...
...and they did, then J.J. Abrams added some supernatural shit and they rolled with it.
Yeah, but it had a button, and magic numbers, and polar bears, and others, and other others, and black smoke and, oh, just forget it...
I'm currently halfway through Season 3 (watching on DVD). It really loses something at this point, doesn't it? Too much Jack Shepherd back story. Too little happens from episode to episode. Too many fucking montages. The increased screen time for Sawyer is awesome though. Easily the best character alongside Mr Eko and John Locke.
Choice Sawyer quote (season 1, after the raft explodes): ''What are you gonna do, splash me?'' So many lols.
Anyway, I'm sure you're all over Season 3.
Best Sawyer line, bearing in mind what he'd just done: ''That's for taking the kid off the raft.''
I finished watching season six last week. I hear a lot of people whining about how ''everything wasn't explained to them'', but I am quite content with it. After all, my favourite writer is Franz Kafka...
... not that LOST holds up to any literary standards, or anything, but it was a good time to watch it; and I'm glad it didn't dumb itself down in the end, like the closing minutes of a CSI episode.
to be honest, i found the show more addicitve than ''quality'', so therefore it would've had to really drop the ball to disappoint me.
It was a kind mixture of addiction and quality, though. There isn't much television out there, really, that could be upheld as ''art'' for lack of a better word. There's certainly nothing special with the cinematography, nor the majority of the dialogue, but at least there was some amount of what could pass for being allegorical (which would have been fucked completely by ''answering all the questions''), and a number of attempts to throw sideways glances at it's literate audience, through multiple references to Steinbeck, Vonnegut, Ballard, Burgess, etc. They could have really stretched this element out, but of course, they had ratings to grab, and we all know what happened to Twin Peaks when it got too smart.
Late season 4 into season 5 has a massive Ubik vibe, so it's weird that the only Philip K Dick novel directly referenced so far is Valis. Is there any time travel in Valis? What's the relation?
Ben Linus and John Locke on screen together is television heaven.
I wonder how it's going to end lol.
Sawyer became a one-note cliche...I wish I had a quid for everytime he growled 'grrr, sonuvabitch...'
oddly enough i'd basically forgotten about this show's existence until this thread got bumped.
housemates have been re-watching season 2, and now it's all over I find many of the characters annoy the shit out of me... season 4 and 5 though are great
just found this, billiant. an alternative ending...
lost
I like her too!!!
Fucken Ethan is delivering the baby... noooooooooooo
Alt Clare!
I guess I have problem with reality now.
Libby!
Charlotte! (But she shaged Sawyer instead of Dan though)
