that's like one one of those olden days photos using lighting , camera angles and make-up, you know the ones, like the ones that made Kate Cebrano good looking back in the day.

team ham sandwich  said about 2 years ago:

Kate Cebrano good looking back in the day.

Kate has more footballing talent than the carlton warnock.

crackwhore  said about 2 years ago:

see, i expect stupid drivel like that from a Dees supporter THS, ever since the silly scientologist told Robbo he had talent all hope for you was lost.

turtle  said about 2 years ago:

enjoy Brock 'one paced' Mclean and Chris ' I can't get a game at Melbourne anymore so I'll jump ship to the Blues' Johnson and leave us be

crackwhore  said about 2 years ago:

oow, did i hit a nerve turtle?

turtle  said about 2 years ago:

nah, I'm just bored and don't like Chris Johnson, but thought I'd throw Brock in there for good measure

crackwhore  said about 2 years ago:

hahaha nice ! You would've kept Johnson if he wanted to stay though, surely?

turtle  said about 2 years ago:

Do you know the reason why he left?

His excuse, as reported in interviews with him was he had to work hard for a spot in the senior team, that he wasn't guaranteed a senior spot. fucking lamo.

He can kick OK, but I'm not sure if you noticed most opposition teams go forward through his opponent, in round 1 last year I pointed it out to my blues mate who was astounded how much he was targeted, and well and truelly beaten, regardless of who his opponent was. he isn't that good.

When I saw him driving into Etihad when the dees played the blues there I stuck my finger up at him, he smirked. cunt

turtle  said about 2 years ago:

it was also the same game were Russian kicked 5

crackwhore  said about 2 years ago:

yeah, cant argue too much with that, like you stated, nice kick of the ball. I was under the impression Bailey didn't rate him and there was some sort of personality clash which caused his departure, also he copped a spray from Bailey in front of the squad that i'm led to believe was a bit out of order???

crackwhore  said about 2 years ago:

pretty sure i saw the Russian at the MFC cubby hut on my run last night, he'd just finished his run and looked in good nick.

turtle  said about 2 years ago:

after telling the club he wanted to leave and be traded (and he was coming out of contract) he turned up to training and ran out to train, so Bailey told him if he doesn't want to be at the club then to please leave (in more colourful language I beleive). It was in front of the squad, but I think it was a lesson for everyone, if you don't want to be here, then don't be here.

Not sure about the personality clash, but I remember the day when I knew he wouldn't be a footballer, it was verse North, Green was running with the ball on the wing, opponent chasing with Johnson coming the other way, all he needed to do was put a shepherd on and Green would have been clear, Johnson shirked it like I've never seen someone shirk it before, it was embarrasing. Green ended up getting tackled and in turn getting done for holding the ball, all because Johnson didn't want to put his pretty body on the line. It was right in front of me, and Johnson knew exactly what I thought of him

crackwhore  said about 2 years ago:

yeah, clearly doesn't like the physical stuff , agreed.

well if the rumours are true and bruce is heading to gc17 that frees up green to go on the vets list.

miller, meesen, bell, newton, mcnamara, and possibly pj (although the latter two may be kept for depth) all should go, really.

maric to the rookie list, if he's lucky.

not if he has been likened to Daniel Wells

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

the way i had him described to me was 'like daniel wells...if he got the ball 30 plus times a game'.

same person told me that jack viney is 'just a freak', so fingers are crossed all round.

I think he will come in, he will at least be in the 25 man squad named this arvo, probably along with Junior

hopes high on Junior

OH YEAH CARN THE ROOS THE BEST OF THE REST

happycow  said about 1 year ago:

Gerard Whately was singing the Roo's praises on the 774 Monday morning sports wrap, it went something like:

''Everyone is jizzing all over Melbourne and their sudden improvement but for mine the Roos are the movers to watch out for in the next couple of years, they only missed the 8 on percentage and have taken down Melbourne twice this season but no one has noticed or cares cause it's the Roos.''

So a question for Melbourne fans - Do you think Melbourne will finish higher on the ladder next seaon?

SGH  said about 1 year ago:

Melbourne will have a pretty strong team in 2-3 years.

turtle  said about 1 year ago:

Yes.

While North have some exciting quality young players, they all essentially play the same in and under type role. Melbourne seem to have a little more versatility in their young guys. Not saying we will smash the roos when we play them, but I just think we will be better.

Also, the roos seem to be our hoodoo team, lost the past 8 times from memory

hughsie  said about 1 year ago:

Yep, i think we'll see more improvement next year. For me the Dees worst performances this year have been against sides like Carlton, North and West Coast. They all slowed the game down and beat us up around the stoppages then flooded when we had the ball; especially against North early in the season when we'd won three straight and they just beat us up at Etihad. Nearly everyone I spoke to before the game said something along the lines of 'North are going to keep it tight, lots of stoppages, push us round and block up the corridor' which they did and won easily.

Next year I think the younger Dees players who were pushed around in those contests will be bigger, stronger and better drilled at dealing with that kind of pressure. Started to see it with Scully towards the end of the year, early in the year he was trying to skirt around packs when he had the ball but by the end of the season he was taking possession, running/drawing his man into the tackle and releasing the ball over the top to running players.

Next year I reckon 10 wins is what we're aiming at as a 'bare pass' but I reckon we've got a shot at bottom of the 8. Obviously it's a long long way away so i reserve the right to revise this prediction.

TOP 4!!

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

agree with hughsie, but i see north as rising along the same path. they should be looking at 5-8 next year, easy.
