Let's discuss your fav micro brewery.
Currently been enjoying a train trip to Woodend and getting some lunch and many beers at Holgate Brewhouse.
Or if I'm lazy my local has Little Creatures on tap.

I love that Holgate brewhouse. The only time I've been, it was a Sunday on the way back from a weekend at wineries, and the person I was with and I had a beer or two, and decided the best option would be to stay at the lovely guesthouses upstairs. Fantastic beers bottled, and on tap even better.
Am enjoying the new Mountain Goat Steam Ale, prefer it to the IPA.
Brisbane unfortunately has a shit selection of microbreweries. The pub across from my house has one, it is cheap but pretty nasty.
lokihanns will be all over this thread tomorrow.
I really like the sail and anchor chilli beer. More breweries should brew chilli beer.
BOMP BOM BOM!
Locally would be Little Creatures or Mountain Goat. We just spent a month in Portland Oregon, and the amount of quality microbreweries there is amazing. Deschutes would be my favourite i visited there
US = Rogue
UK = Brew dog
Locally = Red Duck
2 brothers, for the Growler
Mountain Goat, for the Hightail
All around favourites would have to be:
3 ravens, hargrave hill, holgate. in that order.
Ditto with Hightail Ale. They are like $19 a 6 pack though.
Which 3 Ravens is your favourite?
3 Ravens 55!
Love my hoppy ales ;)
Feral Brewing Company cleaned up the beer awards last year. Anyone tried them? I've not yet.
Holgates for me.
Little creatures and squires arent bad, but they are megacorporation crap. I would rather support littler brands.
megacorporation crap??
i've only had the feral white, but it is a damn fine drop.
James Squire = Lion Nathan
little creatures isn't though.
Apparently the Feral Brewing Company stuff is just too expensive to get shipped across for some reason (i was given the reason but forgot it, something to do with not doing large enough orders).
Carwyn's used to do it but stopped due to the costs involved.
Their parent company is 40% owned by Lion Nathan, says wikipedia.
yep. they wouldn't sell out to them so they could remain independent.
Melb folks would do well to check out these guys also
Not a microbrewer, but a reasonably new specialist beer store.
