ooh, how controversial.
How so Millsy?
''offensive'' bandname, anti-authority stance, lack of talent disguised as intentional noise.... snore.
yeah piss poor attempt and getting rebellious. shut up and get a job.
Now THAT'S controversy, right there.
i thought i was jaded
shaun- king of the put down. fuck off piss ant.
this line of argument can be applied to heaps of styles and genres of music, many of which i know you have an appreciation for.
you ain't got nothin' on me, kiddo.
i know. i'm just being an argumentative cunt for the sake of it. still, i reckon that song sucks.
nice whorse
And here's me thinking this thread wasn't going to deliver as promised.
controversial photoshopping of horse onto green grass me thinks.
looks superimposed to me. focus is all out of whack. coloursdon't matc fonts are crazytime mama on sat afternnoon.
you can't start a music thread on mess+noise anymore! i'm gonna go pick a fight. or start an all-in brawl or something
AND I BET SOMEONE IS HOLDING THAT LEASH> SUPER SLEUTH AM ME THINKS!
alright i have something to say. i only saw these guys once and didn't really enjoy it. then i heard them from the outside at helen rose lab and it sounded pretty good. i'd like to see them again before i make up my mind. they've got potential
Is anyone horny?
jaded? you cunce don't know jaded.
and musically, there's many worse bands represented on threads hereabouts.
thank you for trying to keep the place at least somewhat musical, shaun...
jaded??
HAHAHAHA HAHAHA
you are all proto-jaded. meaning which you are hanging in there.
yeah. for some reason the recording sounds heaps better than when I've seen them live. benefits from the rusty tin-can vibe.
saw them once at the Hopetoun and the last track had saxophone. their recent set at the Ghosts of Television launch was heaps of fun.
This thread like this band struggle to make the two minute mark in terms of interest. Back to the Maladies thread people. Can someone put the Maladies version of Silos on the rotation clicky thing?
shutup shaun

So you're implying that what Whores make is ''music''?
didn't you start some all in brawl thread yesterday? then moved on to finding NEW MUSIC to interest us over at the POANdroids forum which is 100000000 miles away and NO-one knows where it is..THANKS.
pwndroids
yeah them
I find this band far more interesting now than I did 3 months ago. They've ditched the 90's swamp garage thang and become something way more minimal and ugly. Think early The Fall, Electric Eels, Drunks With Guns, AmRep records type shit. Sarah's really into the uglier side of that 80's Australia punk thing like Grong Grong and Feedtime who I haven't heard enough of to make a comparison but I reckon that's the type of thing they're going for.
The last three times I've seen them they were killer, totally creepy and obnoxious. A heap of the audience was sitting down looking pretty bummed out. People were calling out for their older more swampy tunes which they refused to play. Al actually looks like a like a skinhead or a scoccer hooligan and sounds like a creep when he sings.. I reckon they're working towards something that'll be really menacing and intense. Not that 90% of people here would care cause they're concerned about silly things such as musicianship, songwriting, texture, ''breaking new ground'' etc.
Ha, exactly. Brutal vibes.
Met these guys in Melbourne when they played with Circle Pit and played with them in Sydney and they changed a lot in that period of time. The set they played at World Bar was great - Nic hit the nail on the head vibe-wise.
Right, jokes aside, there are people I trust hyping this band... will check out one of their Melbourne gigs in Feb... I can't do the all-in brawl - even on the internet - God didn't make me that way. You win, Shaun.
POTD!
nic rulz is totally on the money, and matt church and adam mills are seemingly bearded snake feeding fagets.
yeah, the first couple of time I saw them I found them absolutely boring but they were really tops at the GoTV launch. Hope they keep on keeping on.
I seem to have enjoyed both versions of Whores. Hope they record something in 2010.
I find their music to be both rude and appalling.
Both are good things in a movie.
What are you like 85 years old ya cloth eared turds??
p.s nic.rulz, what other interesting things are happening in the harbour city these days??
They're alright. Seems to be a few Sydney bands doing this 'scary junkie rock' shtick. Not really my bag (yeah, I like the Gun Club, but they happened 25 years ago).
Their doyen is Jai from Atrocities (who is an amazing skateboarder but never skates because he's doing the 'scary junkie rocker' thing).
That song cop scum is good but I think this one is killer :

shutup
hahaha, this band is awesome and most of you are idiots!!
Wow. I really fucked up some how. They're not on my harddrive and I've seem to have lost the links to them when I swapped from tumblr to blogspot, but I had 3 recordings around of these guys and I REALLY fucken want them back. If anyone grabbed them wanna pass them on to me?
stay tuned for a 7 around the end of the year
bump cause I'm listening to 'Cop Scum' at the moment and it rules.
bump because I saw these guys recently and enjoyed them. Half of them are Raw Prawn I believe. Or rather, most of them considering that they're a 3 piece. I liked it. The bassist needs to use more than one string, but I do like his voice.
