Does anyone use this old style method of shaving? And if so when can I find a nice cheap one to buy physically in a store? I looked on the shaver shop website but couldn't find anything. Could you find these things at the market?

probably at the same place they sell pomade.
every single bric-a-brac / vintage shop you ever walk into will have one for sale. most likely will need sharpening...
I reckon old-school barber shops. There's one on Smith st near Gertrude that seems to sell traditional accessories. Depends which city you're in, though.
I understand shaving with a second hand cutthroat is just asking for trouble. Nicks & dings on the blade can rip you to bits.
And they are very hard to get properly sharpened these days- it's a bit of a lost art.
PM manfrom _ironbark99.
Amazon have them.
A good quality new European one won't be cheap... Gowings were selling Solingen ones for about $200 I think, when they used to exist. Though there seem to be a bunch with disposable blades on eBay.
Get yourself a strop if you buy a non-disposable one. And keep that fucker sharp.
oh i assumed friendsforever was going to use it as a murder weapon. whoops!
just opened a pie shop, pm me
tee hee.
If the police found you with one you could they chrage you as having a weapon? hhmm...
You wouldn't think more than a Swiss army knife, right?
Like everything else, straight razors (the correct terminology) have their own internet forums. This is a good one: straightrazorplace.com, even has some stuff about Australia on it.
I had one for years after someone gave it to me as a present/hint but I think it's now lost. If I can find it you can have it, Friends Forever.
