In current game-release news, it seems Atari's no longer releasing The Void - at least in the UK? Seems that this mob, Mamba, are. I don't know what happened to Atari, as Ice-Pick Lodge/Pathologic still seem to think they are... does anyone know if Mamba's a division or whut?
At any rate, I've a copy of The Void coming from eBay, as it's intrigued me since I first read about its development. Here's the page for it (slightly NSFW: boobs) and I suspect it'll be like Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit inasmuch as it's perhaps not quite a game, you know?
Anyway, initial reviews seem positive - would like to see someone bigger than Just Adventure review it, though. I'm hoping that the Russian->English translation won't suck as much as it does in Pathologic... but then, I suppose that curious lexicon is probably part of that game's charm.

the Snes is the ultimate in gaming. i got NBA Jam, Jurassic Park, Street Fighter 2. Have you seen how 3D Super Mario World looks? 96, count'em, 96 levels! insane! F-Zero, that flying polygon starfox or whatever.

Motion sensing (especially without feedback) is a bullshit gimmick. Great for the ever-sought-after casual gamer market, but most games will not translate well into it.
