Any word on pre-sales?
Golden Plains!
knew it!
i want me some GP action. I'm gonna start using ''The Secret'' right away!
Supports are already announced:
Sydney: Rai Thisslethwaite of Thirsty Merc (solo acoustic) + DJ Pee Wee Ferris
Melbourne: Harry Angus from The Cat Empire. He will eat fourteen hamburgers on stage.
what about British india?
British India DJs, Shaun. Between the bands.
A-mazing! I've never seen them before!
Any pre-sale info?
bump
Yuck! I hate Thirsty Merc...
Ha ha ha.
I wonder if Wally Meanie will be the rider spider in Pavement's band room? Somebody make sure there's extra beer.
perth was the only place that doesn't have ticketek listed as the agent, i went to the megatix website and got some tickets. ticketek probably aren't so blase about breaking embargo, hope they're legit!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
on sale now...
Got mine. Nearly forgot it was on sale today too
got my two tickets.
oztix has melb show sold out. thank god i didn't use that site to buy tickets.
ticktek is stuck, but seems tickets are available.
I'm going to see them in Sydney as well. That'll be three times in one week. WOOT.
shit, Rocking Horse opens @ 8.30...
jumps in shower
If the Pixies can sell out 4 shows at Festy Hall there is no way that Pavement couldn't at least sell The Palace out a few times over. Be very surprised if there aren't more shows announced.
YESSSSS!

Last nights show was THE show of the tour, and I should know, cos I was THERE. So good.
No problem with security doing their job but the way they go about it is appalling.
steve, the gorilla who had the altercation with fuzz was completely unprovoked, and he crushed my ankle in the process. I had a good mind to go to the cops about it, but I doubt they would have done anything.
I knew I'd miss Spit On A Stranger... still swaying to We Dance on Friday makes up for it.
JD that was in reply to my foot path incident which is trivial compared to yours and hyperfuzz experience.
Security people are just cage fighters with badges and ID.
Yeah I know, I was just sayin', that's what happened to us. Those guys were particularly obnoxious. You weren't the dude in the green shirt who we saw getting told to ''move along'', were you?
Sad that so many bouncers are complete cunts who can really put a dampener on a good night. There's a few good ones around at certain venues but the majority - the big thick aggressive steak head types - seem to create problems not prevent them.
Here's another pic from last night.
Maybe. Was a dark green/kahki/black/charcoal check shirt. Before the gig. Literally had crossed the road and stepped on the footpath before being told to not stand there. Then some other dude got ranty and started saying to a group that if they didn't stand in the laneway he wouldn't let them in.
For what its worth I've never had the same problem when going to the Forum and theres much less room there.
i should have fucking gone to a palace show. stupid frugality. GP was still rad
This makes me SO happy because for me last night was AMAZING!
The set list was perfect, the crowd was rocking, the dudes were in great spirits and the fucking sound was killer.
Awesome show!
Malkmus bolting through the drumkit mid-show was good ''oh that's why they do it at the end of the show'' when took them a while to piece it back together. 2 states
wow already wrote that, too tired
yeah I like that too oort
last niht was pretty rad, but I enjoyed GPlains better... as Rockin Marky said ''more killer, less filler''
photos from the Palace gig
I have one too.
Ben... what lens / film /camera is that?
That Friday Palace show with Gersey was my gig of the year for 2010.
that was such a great night!
that and the dinosaur jr double header in the rain at Golden Plains
which scored #3 on my list :)
I liked Sunday better. More laid back, more room to move and less drunk cunz.
