Have a listen. Great new music from an American guy named Ernest Greene.
Already getting some hype off Pitchfork. Really good sound. I like him.

most hyped blog act of 2009? i pre-ordered the 12''. feel it all around is pretty close to song of the year.
Well, I guess nobody cares then.
Take a listen.
folks care dude. we've been talking about it in the 'new music' thread for a while, psyclops put feel it all around on his latest mix, etc etc. maybe it hasn't transcended blog-trawling music nerd fan levels here just yet, but it will once he's announced for chillwave festival
I am totally huge on Washed Out right now. Really enjoy Life of Leisure, one of my fav releases from this year.
Also will Washed Out really be announced for Chillwave? He hasn't played a single live show yet and has none played. I know they got Neon Indian who is the biggest bore out of that ''scene''.
I'm going to put Lost Boy up there as nabbing the Blogosphere Darling of the Year Award at the last hurdle.
'Blogosphere' - bleurgh!
dark side of the jew! lalz
i made up the chillwave thing, btw.
I don't mind this.
Neon Indian is the best thing in the scene though.
I still can't dig Neon Indian at all.
That's coz you're a poo.
yeah come on astralworker, try harder pls. Neon Indian are awes.
Struggling to get into Washed Out. Prefer Neon Indian, me.
I'm really with AstralWerker on this. Neon Indian yaaaawn. Memory Cassette/Memory Tapes however is some of the best shit I've heard this year.
wanna fight about it?
The feelgood debate of the summer
I am now into Washed Out. Still needs more 10cc-like swoony synth.
i read some shlubs comparing feel it all around to ariel pink and air or something, but it just screamed 10cc to me. with the all that 'ahhhhh' synthyness & the compression. i probably said that elsewhere already. sorry.
Yeah, I hear ye anok - your comparison seems accurate to me. I just wants more! 10cc-spawn to dominate summer.
y'all need to get with Julian Lynch...very nice indeed.

anyone know who the supports are?
The more I listen to this guy, the more excited I am becoming about seeing him play on the weekend.
yeah broadcast and this in the same week=not bad
lp's nice
very nice.
Record is nice... really nice
has somebody already compared the cover to that fabulous diamonds one? well I am right now.
I read this review of Washed Out:
http://www.collapseboard.com/reviews/cd-reviews/washed-out-–-within-and-without-sub-pop/
I haven't heard them but I agree wholeheartedly.
how can you have any opinion then?
You get to my age son you dont need to hear a band (or genre for that matter) to know what you think about it.
If you can dismiss an album or genre without previously listening to it, you will avoid wasting pointless time on music you already know you'll hate and just making yourself more angry.
And - what's more - you will be a man my son!
The (admittedly quite superb, if not one page too long) Washed Out review on Collapse Board made it into the Guardian's interview with Washed Out today.
Great piece, CB.
Soporific, indeed
Ah yes, that old longing for the 9 to 5. No doubt it's what the Stones were thinking as they headed to Nellcôte to record Exile on Main Street.
ha ha
I reckon the new album is pretty awesome. Really enjoying it.
