NikaSaya is a freewheeling vocal duo featuring lead singer Saya, from Japan's hypnotic and compelling Tenniscoats, who last toured Australia in February to ecstatic response. Saya teams up with fellow Tokyo native Nikaido Kazumi, a growing star in Japan for her incredible voice and charming songwriting. Nikaido has toured the US with the likes of the Microphones and Calvin Johnston, but is visiting Australia for the first time.
Together, NikaSaya's music revolves around playful chants, schoolyard vocal games and the fluid interplay of two of Japan's most acclaimed singers. Tenniscoats member and revered guitarist Ueno will also back up NikaSaya on guitar.
