Who's got an endorsement these days? Surely it can't be that hard these days:

Big bands have them. Small bands do not. That's the general theory of advertising anyway. Same as best guitarist etc awards in sponsorship type comps.
Depends who you want an endorsement with.
Fender?
Squire?
Samick?
Casino?
I've come across some pretty low profile artists with endorsements. Usually drummers.
i have a microphone endorsement
got offered a cost price guitar endorsement but i couldn't afford the cost price on the guitar anyways hahaha
marshall, fender and gretsch are quite hard to get sponsored by i have found
I've seen that ad, on the back of an old AudioTechnology. But it had the singer?
Do tell!

i am not pretty enough to feature my face - in my ad u just see my amp, the mic and my snakeskin shoes hahaha
i have a cost price endorsement from univox guitars and goldentone amps...
poor mo.
I have, by fluke really.
it's my second. the first I didn't want but had for 2 years anyway ages ago. this one is less hastle and just mellow.

no way bro its awesome - don't have my face plastered around AND i get free mic's!
oh my endorsement is more for professional services/product. the one I had before was for a guitar. I was youngI din't understand I was being asked for something I didn't know how to supply. (like useful selling poiints)
oh the first I just got asked if I liked the product. I said yep they are a good guitar and of value in the market. so I got to choose one and keep it for as long as I wanted it. which was for a year or so. I recorded with it etc.It was ok and I was poor musician with no guitar, but eventually I just handed it back and said thanks.
the second the dude just keeps asking me emailing me asking for this and that to use my name and music and or words for product and I just say yeah it's cool whatever. no biggie. the only thing I hpe to gain is a good mod if I need it.
Don't endorsees usually have some sort of public profile?
depends. like if you are selling fenders to kids then yeah bigger the better. if you are selling something special then it's like anything, best to relate the quality of yr product to the quality of the artist etc..//music product that you believe best represents and etc etc..niche marketing etc etc
HAHAHA LOL but true maybe..HAHA LOL>>>
ROCK on. PEACE>
I thought you had to be in a funk band.
true, slap bass is like a magnet for endorsements, trolling ghey chat sites, not so much..
you'd need a myspace page to get endorsed?
I was pretty honoured to think I pulled what was required (in sound) for my endorsee dude to go oh shit matt can I use you? considering he knows what he wants to hear I guess or what he should hear.
so anyway so there is endorsements that mean nothing and then some that are kinda cool. this is kinda cool I have no idea what to say or do if anything but it was nice for a dude that does somehting really on a very personal level to say oh yeah dude I hear that thing and you got it going on. can I use you? so, happy for that. kinda nice, me and da mrs had a laugh putting out the washing over it. maybe she thinks I'm ok. hmm cool. marriage eh?
Good point! re: mo.
you need fans to get endorsed
that would have been your endorsor, 'slayer.
oh yeah endorsor, sorry peter.
it's like engorger. but endorsor. infact if you put engorger in the place of endorsor it makes even more sense really.
I can and will do both
My friend is in a small time kiwi punk-ish band and got fucken MacBeth Shoes endorsement.
Yeah, small punk/hardcore bands always get clothing endorsements first
Or energy drinks
This supernatural soliciting can not be ill, cannot be good.
I would like a Jameson endorsement. For after gig giggles. My ad would be a photo of the back of my head: ''we can't show you BBS's face in print as he's a professional drummer. One of Melbourne's top 700 drummers, we are proud to have BBS in the Jameson family''.
Speaking of Jamieson and endorsement, I'm pretty sure the first post in the thread was meant to have this image:

i played in a hardcore band years ago that had an ESP endorsement.
fucking hated playing those horrible things but had to toe the line so the guitarists and drummer could get their goodies.
didn't even get good ESP basses, got the horrid LTD cheapies as well.
