Besides The National Hotel, are there any decent venues in Geelong? Something relatively small would be ace.
Backyard gig?
Ash: The Barwon Club is the only other decent live venue in Geelong, mainly metal shows these days, but Magic Dirt started out there and other bands back in the 90s.
And I'm really annoyed at myself for missing Straight Arrows and Total Control in geelong. Im an idiot.

Looking to see what's coming up The Nash but doesn't look like they have an online gig guide any more. Pretty annoying.
Yeh, I'm wondering if they managed to get any laneway sideshows. May have to swing past there later today or tomorrow.
Is Roberts Rd a reasonably well-known suburban drag to Geelongites? My nana lives there. :) Such a steep hill.

That sucks dude. What happened?
Guess they just don't like music there! One half of the bar is full of people drinking and the other half is the band room where you have to pay to get in. We decided stuff it lets play for free and open the doors. Other than the bands themselves there would have been probably 5 that even went into the band room at all....and some of those just to come in to take a piss in the less crowded toilet!
