You idiot, you don't want people to have expectations that need living up to.
haha... nobody read the thread when i actually had a band that existed... besides, you're the one talking it up!
and besides, we have songs on the myspace!
aw, i would have listened. was your last band called something like ''badalex vs matt church'', cos i do avoid those kinda threads.
no, but there's always the possibility of that being a song...
Replying to your post is hardly talking it up, you goose.
what else am i supposed to do whilst i'm layed up in bed with a bulging disc?
can you still link the myspace to your old band so i can get excited about the wrong one?
there's songs on the yis myspace that aren't even yis songs (just bedroom stuff that's nothing like what we're gonna end up sounding like), but they'll suffice for some misguided excitement.
oh, and also, judy is in the band too. shh.
The myspaz won't work for me, which song did you stick on the page? Please tell me it's not 'Boots'...
no, no, it's those gary numan/fuck buttons sounding things i did on the four track.
I am not!
You should put the cover of 'Don't Bring Me Down' up.
you quit the band?
whoa. so you got album title and coverart sorted before second practice? vision!
glares at hyperfuzz
the last band i join had an album ready to put out when i joined the band. we launched the album two years later. a year later i quit the band, having not even started recording the next one. speed is the name of the game!
If you don't change your name to ''the New Carpenters'' immediately I am never speaking to either of you again.
i wanted that, but it got voted down.
I didn't choose the name, talk to fuzzbox about it. It's his vanity project, I'm just along for the ride.

Thanks to everyone who came last night, 'twas a good 'un.
Baptism are totally my favourite Australian band right now.
yes, thanks to everyone who made the effort to come out on a wednesday night... i had a horror day of six out of six classes at work yesterday made even worse by getting my head torn off for being late for an after school duty which ended being me supervising a single student for an hour after school and the good will from all you lovely attendees despite the all the sound hiccups etc is the only thing keeping me upright today... so THANKS.
Fuck fuzzy, you didn't tell me that!
I think last night was the most packed I've seen the Oldie mid-week. Party!
Fucking great show. Fuzz, you've got a set of vocal chords and a half.
Cheers happycow! Fuzz does orrite, doesn't he? I keep telling him that but he doesn't believe me.
What I have heard on Myspace has been quite impressive.
Thanks m'dear! Shame you didn't make it to the Landsdowne show! We'll be back up your way soon, however...
aw, i want an ep :( come back!
I want to move to Canberra just so I can roll down the hill at Parliament and get sauced on single malt at the Front every day.
not a bad way to spend one's 30s. there is still time
pfft, says she who hasn't even hit 25 yet.
sound hiccups? you gear or mine?
Fixed.
starts packing
Mixing, I think. Apparently my bass was barely audible.
oh dear
As far as foldback goes (or went, rather), I've been in worse situations. I'm just going by what the punters said.
Mostly monitor problems... Don't want to complain too much.
Yeah, hiccups aside, it was a cracking gig.
Baptism and TRJAEU both sounded awesome... always love playing the oldy... which we will be doing again soon, according to these dates...
Friday, 28th of May at The Royal Derby, Fitzroy supporting The Thod, Dozers and The Beat Disease.
Saturday, 5th of June at The Workers Club, Fitzroy for Wonderful and Frightening: A Tribute To The Fall with Fell Down (Witch Hats/Pets with Pets/Parading) and Breaker Morant
Sunday 27th of June at The Old Bar, Fitzroy supporting The Toot Toot Toots with Mother and Son (Sydney)
Saturday, 10th of July at The Grace Emily, Adelaide supporting The Molting Vultures and The Adlers
we need help setting up a show somewhere between Melbourne and Adelaide (or in Adelaide) for Friday the 9th of July if possible...
quiet time now for a month while Andre goes to Europe and I get started with some new material.
Yeah, TRJAEU were ace as! I wanna play with them again!
