Never heard of it HEBtestacular! Why wonderful? Explainy...
HEB: series two finished on aussie cable in april.
i expect we'll see the dvd release of it soonish.
series three is in pre-production for a 2007 release, again to aussie cable.
and yep it's wonderful.
I'm only up to episode 4. It's good. Good Aussie drama. Great cast , including a little girl who seems quite real and endearing, not a precocius little smartarse brat.
I only have a problem with how a stuggling artist and a cook manage to afford an an absolute waterfront home in what looks to me like the NSW Central Coast or Vaucluse.
malabar actually godzilla.
and yes i agree completely.
Loadie
Did series 2 stay as good? The languid pace that allowed real characters time to breathe?
i haven't seen series two at all HEB - don't have cable so i'm waiting for the DVD release.
here's the series two guide, if yr interested:
Yay, I recently discovered this show and I agree with you HEB, its fantastic. I'm waiting for series 2 to come out on dvd, too. Do we have a date for this??
i can't find any info about it anywhere urchin...!!
Thanks - but I'm trying to avoid spoilers
Episode 8 worked so well; compare that with the Season Three finale of The O.C. - so much foregrounding, no emotion....
Oh no :(
I tried but gave up...
Hmm!
very moving that one HEB. been a while since a telly show made me bawl like a baby.
Still had me going in Episode 9...
good fucken telly, that.
Series 1 & 2 together are now the requisite standard of 22 episodes for International sales. Hopefully this will happen soon....
you reckon it would catch on there HEB?
Depends...
It should - fine drama well promoted will find an audience
I'd like to see it on the Beeb - ad free. But it's really not likely...
Channel 4 showed Secret Life Of Us But it went to satellite only from S3, and S4 wasn't shown
Last Man Standing was part-funded by Channel 4, but it was on Fox satellite station FX only...
hmmm interesting....
It may depend on selling price as well...
Kath and Kim was shown on FX, then Living TV before it made the leap to BBC Two.
While Neighbours and Home and Away are shown daily, there's little other Oz drama to be seen. You may find McLeod's Daughters on Hallmark, but major network ITV stopped showing Blue Healers about 10 years ago...
...and great shows like Phoenix never saw the light of day here...
are you actually an aussie HEB, or an aussiephile?

Fuck the second season is depressing.
yeah.
Charlie's heaps cooler as a miserable, violent bastard though.
Does he beat the crap out of that advertising hack?
I hope so.
i really liked katie.
Nah, no way. I like PK though. I hope she's in it more.
the one that was dating julia? haven't you seen the rest of season 2 yet?
Yeah that's the one.
And PK's the artist who's the same actress from Praise.
And no, I'm watching it now. :)
Hah I just got up to a really dramatic part and got all caught up in it.
Then gf laughed, called me a sook and told me to ''go talk to the people on messandnoise about it'' while snickering.
^^ Equivalent of a real-life ''fuck up sook''.
pk is a bitch!
it's alright andyr, everybody cries to ''love my way'' except those without a heart.
USA ''loves our way''
Any word on Season Four?
Oh god how I love this show.
The producers of Love My Way have been filming a new series called ''Tangle'' or something in my street. Wonder how it turns out.
pretty sure there's not going to be a season 4.
dealsdirect.com.au are doing season 3 for $39.95.
BOO!!!!!!!!!!
I think I need to watch Season 3 again... didn't enjoy it as much as the first two seasons... I think I missed the house by the sea.
i just finished season 3 and yeah the house by the sea....
i had a bit of a blub when they visited it for the last time.
but i guess the script needed to break from constant reminders of lou through her connection with the house by the sea...
It is such a good series isn't it? It captures angst and bastardry quite well. Although the dream / fantasy sequence with the dude from playschool didn't really work for me.
