They're playing Wacken Open Air again this year and getting bigger in Europe each day it seems.
Seems like they will definitely win the 70s rock revival comp against wolfmother and jet.
Go Airbourne!

woohooo!
not in. not brutal enough
METAL
i saw them play in Milan.. it was awesome!
Spotted back in Warrnambool on the weekend.
Have apparently been rehearsing behind closed doors at The Cri.
Well there we go. Just the other day I told a mate that I'd figured they'd fallen off the side of the earth having failed in their attempts at stardom and were probably going to go back to Warrnambool to live out their lives as minor attractions at Flagstaff Hill. SHows how wrong I was. Go them!
I love AC/DC!
they would make a bit from guitar hero, yes?
isn't it shut? must know someone to know someone right?
new album cover!
its fucking epic.
take that wolfmother.
He appears to be rooting a parsnip in the name of rock'n'roll. I love it.
just in case you've forgotten the previous album cover:
Looks 'shopped.
dudes been working out....
feb 23 release,
meanwhile they're supporting motley crue in canada and have europe shows booked until april, so we're small fry now (though i saw a couple of em in december on elizabeth st)
Album written during those days holed up in the boarded up Cri Hotel in W'bool
Yep, they've been back in Oz for a few months now writing at the Cri in Warnambool and heading into town to hit up Cherry every once in a while. More of the same balls out rock coming on the new album. Prior to that they were touring non-stop throughout Northern America and Europe. Flat stick. they ARE getting bigger by the day... and this year they play Wacken for the third time. Good luck to em. For all the bullshit critisism you couldn't meet a bunch of nice guys or more professional musos. Great guys.
Anyone brave enough to write an entire album holed up at the Cri is Ok in my book!
new album out march 5.
i can't believe they are the actual album covers, had to google that shit. someone, somewhere at one time thought they were a good idea. i'm stunned. who is the genius behind those masterpieces?

Their first EP recently paid a bunch of my air-ticket to ATP NY, so I give 'em a thumbs-up.
Friday October 22nd - The Metro – Sydney
Saturday October 23rd - The Hi Fi – Brisbane
Friday October 29th - The Gov – Adelaide
Monday November 1st - The Hi Fi - Melbourne (Melbourne Cup eve)
I know Europe/North America is their priority, but doesn't their philosophy suggest getting out to the people with a whole bunch of suburban shows and regional dates instead of one inner-city hub in each of 4 states. There's still a few beer barns, isn't there?
how much did you get for the EP?
More than I've ever paid for anything musical, including a trip from UK->NY to see Tom Waits.
oh boy. time to get digging.
I got about $250 for my copy.
Right on.
mathieson i agree. regional bogan rock fans would lap it up.
Historically they have done very decent regional tours and put on an above average production spread. One of the issues in the past has been JJJ's refusal to play them. Makes it difficult but p'raps those past efforts will make it easier next time round if they go again.
These days it's at least $500 for an unsigned copy...
Sydney and Melbourne shows are sold out.

after golden plains, i'm pondering going to taralgon to see them at inferno.
portential gig of the year.
go lads!
i wish i liked them more at Golden Plains
I loved them at Golden Plains! I just wish I hadn't missed the Shiraz/Barossa Valley/wine swigging moment.
Every time I come back from Meredith/GP I tell my wife about some band that surprisingly blew me away:
Me: Eddy Current was amazing!
Her: Were you high? And you were dancing? You were high...
Me: I cannot believe I'm going to say this and have spend the last day figuring out how to do it but Neil Finn was incredible and it was amazing being amongst the crowd and...
Her: Were you high?
Me: You won't believe this but Airbourne was awesome...[cut off]
Her: [she rolled her eyes that said, ''he's probably still high...''
Hahahahaha, after spending new years in that venue I can honestly say you would probably have the time of your life.
i know its perfect!
shame they're not playing Warrnambool, home crowd madness.
Airbourne show how balls out rock is done!!!! Wilful Damage take heed :-)
