Try Big Star in Rundle Street, Adelaide. C'mon adelaide chats.....there must be some more...
cheers thrummmer
Yeah, Big Star is your best option in Adelaide. They have 4 stores, but contact the city one and they will distribute copies to their other locations.

This may not help one little bit but I know of an awesome record store on the main strip of hobart where most of te venue are. Elizabeth street or something. It's across the road from a cool cafe and down the road from a music store on a corner.
That is all I got, amazing store though.
Is that Tommy Gun Records, K_R?
Thanks for the help on Big Star
I have no idea, I'd email the guys from 'Paint your golden face'. They showed it to me
Is Big Star closing? (According to an (ex?) employee) Sorry for all the rumours today.
Aroma Records is pretty much the only record store in Hobart.
And it's not got a lot of stuff.
big star city closes tomorrow.
big star magill road remains.
is magill still opening under a different name?
Aroma Records has been dead for ages.
If you want to get stuff into a Hobart record store you want the one King_Rat mentioned, Tommy Gun.

I've not been to Hobart in over two years.
Never even heard of Tommy gun.
Worth visiting if you're ever back there. It's a small space but they use it well, its full to the brim with music and lots of local stuff.
theres a new one opening tomorrow in the heart of adelaide, capitol something records, perhaps? can anyone enlighten me?
found it. Clarity Records.

Bump for Clarity Records
would anyone know of any other record stores in adelaide that are doing instores? Clarity can't the one I was trying to get happening.
Are any Big Star stores still open now?
i was looking it up, the Magil Road one appears open but their facebook and myspace are not updated at all - I might give them a call though and see what the possibilities are.
The Magill Road Store is tiny so they definitely wouldn't be able to do instores. I wasn't actually suggesting Big Star for an instore, I was just wondering if any were still open. I hope so! Best record stores in Aus!
Magill Rd. is open but trading as Funhouse Records since April - same vibe as Big Star, same guy managing it. It's too small for instores unfortunately. Big Star company is no longer.
Mr V Music has had a couple of instores. Worth a try.
Marion or any of the other stores still open?
Yeah just got off the phone to big star, its now fun house as you said they reccomended a few places like ''title'' (any of you guys heard of it?) and mr v, does mr v have a site i can access?
Marion is now the Wax Department (and has a hiphop focus). Parade is Marbry's Music.
btw neither do instores :)
Mr V has a webpage you can Google.
Title is run by two ex-Big Star guys. I don't think they do instores. That might change since they only just started trading a month ago.
does Title have site I can find? Because google is not my friend on this one.
mr v aren't open sundays either, thats what i was hoping to get.

So they have no info online? Do you know what the store is like in terms of space?
Dude, I said ''I don't think they do instores''. Then I gave you their phone number. I'm sorry but now you're burning my arse.
Dude, I mean do they have a site? Seems kind of dodge if they don't have anything online as a business. I'm not trying to burn your arse man but I need as much info on the place as much as possible than taking a risk to book a place that I have no idea what it looks like.
To my knowledge they don't have a website.
They are part of the nationwide 'Title' music/film/books/fashion company.
The store is not very big and it's packed with stock and racks. They do however have an upstairs section that houses their clothing section that might be able to accommodate you. Best to give them a call. I haven't been upstairs so I can't tell you what it's like.
Thanks man, really appreciated.
